Disappointing vegan options...

Despite having several vegan options on the menu, they were very disappointing. My wrap was tiny with very little filling and about 3 nacho chips.

I ordered a vegan scone with cream and jam and was told upon it being served that they didn't have any vegan cream and just gave me spread instead. I doubt this would have happened if I'd ordered a regular cream tea and they'd run out of cream!

I appreciate places offering vegan options but don't appreciate a 'get what your given' attitude when you're paying the same price as non vegan options. If I'd known there wasnt any vegan cream then I understandably wouldn't have ordered cream tea... it very much felt like vegan options were an afterthought here without much effort...

I've been twice now but probably wouldn't return. The scones are very delicate and light. Lovely texture.....the favoured ones are somewhat lacking in content. Nice coffee. However the lady serving gives off a vibe of utter misery. Both times it comes across as borderline rude. I'm sure that's not the intent, and I'm not pointing this out to be mean, but goodness me, if you can't smile and give people a warm welcome then why have a lovely little quaint cafe?? I assumed the first time it was just a bad day, but seeing her serving others today was painful. Just think that when folks are paying 8 quid for a cuppa and one scone, it might be nice to make them feel welcomed and create a pleasant...

What a disappointing visit. Arrived at 10:30am, despite advertising an opening time of 10am, and they were closed. I saw a lady inside who came out and said ‘We’ll be open in about 30 mins.’ We left and returned 30 mins later, they were still closed. We waited a little longer.. nothing. So we decided to get coffee elsewhere (even with the limited choices elsewhere in Polperro). Returned an hour later to give their scones a chance. They were open! Woohoo! But then wow, wish we never bothered. The lady was rude, overcharged us, and the scones weren’t even delicious. What an embarrassment and absolute shambles...
