This cafe is suppose to let dogs in, which is why I go in there for lunch with my family usually cos I usually have my dog with me. Today I was asked to leave because my dog barked a few times, dogs do bark and I did stop him barking. When I got up to leave a member of staff said only well behaved dogs are allowed in, and she said I could have taken him out. I said I couldn't due to being disabled and I'm in constant pain, so getting up to take my dog out would be difficult for every bark, the member of staff was dismissive of my disability and said she didn't know I was disabled, I said I don't go around with a badge for being disabled, though I do have a blue badge in my car. She said well management said dogs who bark or are nuisance are not allowed. If this is the case don't allow dogs in then and offer cream cups et for them. Also, don't be rude to people with disabilities and discriminative either. Won't go back, the food has gone down hill and so has politeness of staff....
Read moreInside everything was nice and clean, tables were being cleared virtually as soon as customers left and wiped down vigorously. The Biscoff milkshakes were lovely but a little frustrating as the crumbled up biscuits kept getting lodged in the paper straw which very quickly became soggy and unusable. Honestly though, the taste of those shakes was worth it. Shame the same can't be said about the Victoria sponge. It was ridiculously stale, as in very, very dry and as hard as a rock (and what the heck was the stuff that was supposed to be cream? I'm not sure if it was some weird cream replacement or if it had gone off but it was vile). No issues when we took it back - we were told they only had one dome cover for the cakes and that it was being used for something else - not good enough really and an apology (not just an explanation) would have been nice but there you go. Would definitely go back for the milkshakes, not sure about...
Read moreNice coffee, nice location, Covid secure, tables outside, but... I ordered a mocha in a proper cup to drink there. Just as the cup was going under the spout I spotted it was dirty and asked for a new cup, but wasn't heard until the coffee started dispensing. No problem, the server put the cup to one side and made another shot in another cup. As the drink was being finished a lady who I presume was the manager asked the server what was wrong with the shot he'd put aside. He explained the cup was dirty, and he was then 'asked' by the lady if he could use the shot elsewhere. As I took my order away the shot was being poured from the dirty cup into the next customers drink. Not really acceptable. I really would have liked to give the place 5 stars, but seeing this was more than...
