I came with my 7 year old daughter my mum her friend and her 18 month old granddaughter . The place is small which is fine but when we had the buggy they seemed a bit put out by this. We had asked if they had a high chair assuming an 18 month old would not count as a chair they didn’t so I asked can we not just take a chair and pop it on the end they said they could move us to the window on a bigger table which again is fine but it did just seem like everything was too much trouble and didn’t give us a nice feeling. Two dishes we did not receive , the table in front had had dishes put on bill they did not order, the table next to us had dishes arrive they did not order. When we asked for some more drinks and a dessert menu the lady seemed agitated with us and couldn’t get away quick enough. I appreciate they were busy but we are still paying customers asking for more drinks and ice cream! We also seemed forgotten! Maybe if they had come over asking us how the food was or if there was anything else, we would not have had to keep calling them over asking if we could have more drinks etc. Bill turned up two of our orders we did not receive were on the bill. Then when it came to paying I was pointed to the desk to pay even after the other staff member had gone to another table and taken their card payment! They put on their menu 10 % service charge for 5 and over or 8 and over it is £20. I would not have given these girls £5. Will not go back shame as the food is nice but the way we’re treated was...
Read moreI recently visited this charming Spanish tapas and fish restaurant in Southend-on-Sea, and it was an unforgettable experience. It was my first time in the area, and I was especially excited to try the food here. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing, particularly a young lady named Lois. She was incredibly friendly and super helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us despite not having a booking. Lois showcased excellent customer service skills, patiently answering my numerous questions and ensuring we felt welcome throughout our visit.
The restaurant itself is very cozy and authentic, with lovely decorations that strike a perfect balance between simplicity and attention to details. Sitting outside and overlooking the sea was really nice; we thoroughly enjoyed the weather and the brilliant atmosphere.
The food was nothing short of spectacular—very fresh and presented beautifully. The dishes were simple yet sophisticated, reflecting the high quality and originality of the cuisine. My favourite were the Bang Bang Hale and the Sof Shell Crab. The prices were reasonable given the quality of the food. The highlight was when the owner himself came to present the food, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.
We enjoyed multiple dishes, each one more delightful than the last, and the Eton mess dessert was simply superb. We had a wonderful time and I will definitely be coming back. Highly...
Read moreMonday the 8th of August I come with my friends for first time for having a dinner at 10pm I've been told that they stop serving food from 8:30. I tired having a conversation with one of the staff (introducing her name "Josey"(asistent manager of the place) I mentioned nicely that on the website said that you close 11:30pm on Monday but she's be come very rude saying that "I will not keep the place open for you and your friend only for drinks" but we came there for food and drink not only drink I found that like an excuse that supposed to be open as on the website you advertised until 11:30. Ubrespectful attitude I found out when she shut the main door in 'my nose' and walked off and shouting at me in a very badly way saying to myself to come and talk with the owner of the place which I asked for he's name but she refused to mention the name. At the end of this little story I understand and I do have knowledges in therms of hospitality how the opening and closing hours work in therm of restaurants, but the stuff has been very unespectful. I will come back there and would like to have a chat...
