Bispham Hotel — Restaurant in England

We visited the hotel on 07.09.23 just for a drink. We were viewing info on our mobiles and talking and we were approached by the barman and politely told we could not use our mobiles. There were only a few men in the pub at the time and the barman was just sat with them. We noticed signs about swearing however one man in the group was swearing and not told about the language. We felt very uncomfortable has though locals could do has they like but we has visitors had to do has asked. First time here. Good old fashioned boozer. Not sure if it's still a "hotel". Not sure if food is served- suspect not. Not been messed around with. Plenty of space and seating. Nice interior design(guessing art deco 1920's but I could be way off the mark). Tied to Tadcaster brewery, so only their products but no problem to me. Great prices and they have dark mild on draft. Lastly, only a step and a stagger to the seafront and tram service plus plenty of restaurants. Wot's not to like? Top of the range...

The Bispham cons club unfortunately has had its best days, I remember not being able to get in on a weekend it was so popular but now with lack of good management and the change in culture it's very quite . But there is still alot to be said for the place the staff are good and friendly, drinks are Very cheap and has a nice atmosphere, although the so called butty bar is a complete waste of time , Should be shut down "the friers "need cleaning...
