We visited Brassarie on the bay last night as part of the twilight spa package. It was our first wedding anniversary and we booked this as something special to celebrate. We have visited once a year, on average, and this year was by far the worst. We will not be returning. When booking 1 month ago, I emailed to ask if we could have a table nearer the window as it was our first wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we were seated on one of the tables furthest back in the restaurant. A small table, with seats opposite. It felt very noisy and difficult to hear eachother. We were informed that there was £60 towards dinner, however we could not use that for 3 courses, only 2 and could nto have the lobster with that. Catch of the day was also £6 extra, even if we didn't spend the £60. The menu wasnt as varied/interesting as previous visits. It took a good 10 minutes before a drinks menu was offered and a further 20 minutes before the drinks arrived after ordering. 50 minutes for the starters to arrive - crab cakes and muscles. These were very tasty, however the crab cakes were tiny. The main then took a further 1 hour of waiting, for our steak to arrive. And whilst it was delicious, when we originally sat at 19.30, we didn't expect to be eating our main course at 21.15! Luckily dessert came quickly, which we paid extra for, as couldn't use the £60 dinner allocation towards a dessert. All together, whilst the food was tasty, it didn't feel like a £130 meal and the service was shocking. Our waiter howwver was the happiest and cheeriest waiter we have ever had and definitely made up for the slow food service. Not what we were expecting for out first wedding anniversary, which is a shame as we've always had excellent service and delicious and unique food here. Also, if you are considering the twilight spa package, we would advise to check the menu before, as its technically cheaper to buy the 2 hour spa pass and then just pay for what you want in the restaurant for most options.

Brasserie on the Bay is a beautiful extension to what is already a magnificent resort. For the 3 nights that we were there, the menu was different with the starters, mains and desserts. The food was surprisingly very stylish and elegant at the same time. Fresh and extremely flavourful. At the start of each day you felt exited at the thought of a whole new menu. The flavours complimented each other on every plate and you could tell they were well thought out in the cooking process. The main meal portions were very generous and you could end up full before having dessert. The desserts were exquisite, light in flavour and texture. The perfect sweet and subtle conclusion to each meal every night. I was in awe of the presentation of the food and service we were given. My table was well taken care of each day and they even gave us a little bowl of water for our puppy. Anyone wanting to stay at the resort will fall in love with the restaurant and their high quality food. However, if you aren’t looking for a stay at the resort, then the restaurant is open for public bookings. You’re sure to have a good dining experience with their locally sourced food, views of the ocean and all at affordable prices.

Nice ambience and views of the bay. Food was tasty but it took quite a long time for the food to come out. It is quite pricey but I suppose in-line with other similar venues in the area.

Lovely restaurant is a beautiful hotel. Enter through the hotel lobby and on your left just before the reception desk is the restaurant desk where they will efficiently either take you to your booked table or book you a table at the next available time while you relax in the comfy bar seating... The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated reminding you of its proximity to the sea, the photographs are stunning as well! We ordered chicken ceasar salad and our daughter ordered the crispy noodles and bbq pork. The food was great and we enjoyed the view into the bay. We had a slight problem where my daughter's meal came without the noodles.. 🤔.. The waiter quickly asked the kitchen to rectify but the noodles didn't arrive till she had finished the rest of her meal.. The waiter was frustrated that the kitchen had let us down and we were a bit disappointed. The waiter rectified the issue by removing that meal from the bill. Unfortunate situation but we were thankful for the waiter's solution. We'll return another day definitely, we've got to try out the spa! 😁 Highly recommended for quality local produce and helpful staff and a great...
