What with the covid and everything that changed our world , socialife became redundant for most. So personally I became more a prisoner than usually, I know I am not alone with social phobia, so Saturdays walk along the s promenade with family we were very fortunate to be blessed with mild weather and stopped of at Richies for food and drinks? There was a bonus in watching my team( not the most fashionable team, but mine all the same !) The staff were very pleasant as was the good natured mood of 'strangers" to me yet what with being my first proper step back into the outside, eating publicly, soon became lost with great food, friendly staff& people alike. There was nothing to much to ask( simply because the diligence of staff both girls and seniors were attentive as if mindreadeing ? I know that in the height of season Ritchies is very popular and busy, we ventured out to the top where we continued enjoying the sunny weather& a few more drinks! Not all days can bring us the warmest of weather, but I am sure excellent service and quality food will bring the cheer that both Richies & Bridlington s unique charm draws & impresses the many visitors to return again& again ( If I may add. Bridlington has much to be proud & offer around& about, traders & locals support eachothe as do the many visitors do you( oh the final result was...
Read moreVisited Richie's Cafe whilst in Bridlington with my family. There is something on the menu for everyone and all priced really well.
The location is great, right on the sea front as close as you can get to the beach and the service was swift, staff were just as attentive moving empty plates when we had finished.
We all had different meals, including a cheese and tomato sandwich, jacket potato with chilli and cheese, sausages chips and beans and a bacon and pepperoni omelette. Nobody left a scrap of food on their plates, even though portion size was generous, as it was all really nicely made.
They also had a home made apple pie which was lovely, wasn't going to have any dessert, but saw how good the giant pie slices looked when we walked past the counter, and so took the opportunity (a decision I did not regret).
The menu is big and I could have chosen half a dozen things I fancied today, and probably half a dozen other things on a different day, when I fancy a different type of meal.
Pricing was pretty reasonable too, particularly with the food being well made, nicely presented and generous portion size. When we are next back in Bridlington, no doubt we will be visiting...
