Pier 6 Boardwalk Cafe — Restaurant in England

Having gone out for the day on business and took my partner for a road trip along with the dogs, we decided to get some good at the coast. We found this place and I hopped out to order 2 x fish and chips and 2 sausages for the dogs. Upon getting the food and wanting to park up in a position to see the sea and watch the world go by whilst eating our food we took off to the Northern part. Upon opening the food and tucking in my partner quickly made comment of the taste of the fish. I had a cold coming on and wasn't able to detect the same smell or taste but needless to say it didn't taste the same. As I was hungry I ate the lot. My partner was wiser to this. The 2 sausages bought were for the dogs and in the end only 1 ate them as one of the dogs turned their nose up at it. Things started to take a turn. We had 190 mile journey hope. My stomach quickly felt queasy and remained so for the rest of the night and now morning. The dog that ate the food had a huge outburst of diarrhoea all in the back of the car which has now resulted in a full valet required. The price of the food at £25+ was a little excessive but now its come at a greater cost. This as you can imagine is the reason why my score is so low and rest assured would be even lower if...

They make you pay first, so you won't be able to refuse to pay for the inedible trash served. Family of three spent 42 on inedible burgers, chips that tasted of chemicals or off oil, fish batter with the same chemical/off taste and one uncooked adult burger. Child's mean equally went uneaten because it "didn't taste nice". The cheeseburger had the slimmest most shaved cheese which had evaporated by the time it was served .

When I did complain that the burger wasn't done no less than three staff were there to tell me I was wrong but they said would heat it back up if I wanted it cooked more. Somehow a twice cooked burger with cold chemical chips wasn't appealing.

If we could have complained and refused to pay for the food we couldn't eat we would have. As it was I just wanted to get out and never go back.

Poor husband was embarrassed he'd talked up this town to me as I was born next to the sea down south and all I saw was incompetence, lack of care and a customer service attitude that I wouldn't expect at a festival caterer ley alone a sit down restaurant.

Avoid at all costs. Take a picnic or order something from somewhere else. You could have a banquet which you hand pick rather than this scam of...

Do not eat here if you value your health. Ordered regular breakfast, bit expensive, but hey on weekend trip, sausages cheap but bacon lovely. Issue was with fried egg, undercooked so that there was the white sticky gloop...took one mouthful and spat it out. Ate rest of breakfast, when clearing the plates told waitress about egg being inedible, no response so after five mins went to pay...full amount so asked if I was getting a discount, because of the egg, to be told...she had checked and it was cooked, just personal preference...said whatever and paid full amount. Getting ready to leave and another waitress, maybe Manager, came over and said we'd had a problem but that it was personal preference and because I'd eaten the rest of breakfast..to which I interrupted to say I wasn't asking to not pay for full meal just not for the egg. Absolutely fuming, risk to the customers by undercooked food and no sense of responsibility....
