Been in here twice now and both times the food has stopped at 7pm. Apparantly the kitchen is 1 hour behind despite our food coming out in about 29 mins from ordering at 6.15. We Rang and asked what time the kitchen closed as was told 7.50 we only wanted desserts - ice cream ?! I've sat and watched the elderly lady (wuth glass) behind the bar stand and watch the waitresses run about and not do anything to help. The only time she moved was at 7.10 to take away all the menus to stop seeing food. Basically the Leeds match is.on and she's too preoccupied with the 7 people at the bar. Shocking staff planning if you know a match is on and don't plan your rota to accommodate wet and dry needs. Shame really because the food was really nice. Not sure but the waitress who served us worked her backside of running back and forth. Old habits die hard and I even the table of the previous punters glasses. But shocking way to run a pub and to not know your custom. If you run a food led pub, your staffing should cover you. 4 behind the bar and 1 waitress running about like a blue arsed fly. If you can't cope don't advertise that your kitchen is open Close early on a match night and/or weekend 1st rule.of running a pub. Staff should be multi faceted and levels sufficient And yes , ran green king...

Never in my life have i had such a terrible experience. Went in with my partner and 18month old toddler. Was going to get pizza and pasta they didnt have either so switched asked for a texan burger and a mac an cheese. Poor toddler was screaming waiting for what seemed ages so asked how long a wait they said was being made now. 20 minutes later (50 minutes since order) asked again politely if it hasnt been made can we have a refund and go. She said was being plated and another 10 minutes later the food came. Unfortunately they brought out chilli not a texan burger. Went to the bar and the manager (who served me) said she would refund me and argued i never asked for a burger it wasnt her fault i confirmed i said burger she was just being extremely rude and basically calling me a liar. I said well we did wait an hour then she said she told us an hours wait, which again was 100% not true but she argued and called me a liar again. I said id like to complain she laughed and said shes the manager only the owners above her and good luck speaking to them. Left, extremely hungry, really upset and dissapointed. Never in my life have i been...

Took the wife for a Sunday lunch, we've been quite a few times, always been good, but not today. My wife's Sunday lunch was up to the usual high standard, but I ordered the Chicken Cheese and Bacon burger. I ate most of it as it was nice, but the last 3rd was stone cold. We told the waitress who apologised and said "that's not right, I have only just brought you it", we said we didn't want another burger or money off we just wanted to pass it on to the chef, so it wouldn't happen again. She said "I will tell the chef and again I'm very sorry about that". The waitress came back 5 mins later to tell us that the chef had said "because I had eaten most of it, there was nothing he could do" (no apology). So if you get a burger from Stirling Castle in Brid, feel it all-around before tucking in otherwise "THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO". I guess you don't have to look after the locals now the season is starting, short sighted business plan, glad it's theirs and not mine. We won't go again or anybody we know, well...

Great pub with fantastics bands at the weekend. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Pre booked a table as my sister is on crutches and we were given a perfect one near the band but good access to the toilets. Food was delicious. Between us we had chicken stack burger, nachos with chilli and quesadillas. All lovely and good portions. Drinks were really good. My sister was in cocktail jugs. Very busy but highly reccomend. We will be back!
