This is in reply to Tony K review Firstly this is incorrect and not what happened. These men sat down and ordered two small breakfasts. In our error they got served another tables breakfast a large breakfast and a small one. They decided to keep the large one and complain that we got the order wrong and to bring more food to make the small breakfast a large breakfast, when It was time to pay one of the men said I ordered a small breakfast and that's what I'm paying for , I've said to him granted , it was our fault that we served the wrong food but you still ate the food and said nothing, protesting it was our fault in the beginning. It was your attitude that got me upset and in the end you didn't pay because my card machine broke and i sent you off never to return . I did say never to come back, who needs chancers trying to take the mick out of a small independent business especially with the current economic difficulties we are all facing. This is a hard review because of how nice the staff and owner were.

So, first off, the staff and owner were absolutely lovely. Attentive, friendly and made you feel ever so welcome.

Now the food. We ordered cod and chips for £13 and a burger.

Burger, was ok, nothing to rave about, just a burger.

The fish and chips however, £13 for a a fairly small cod, the thing that absolutely shocked us was that it came on a bed of less than 20 chips!! £13 for a small cod and less than 20 chips!!! Potatoes do not cost a lot and to be this tight was rather surprising.

Personally, we wouldn’t go there again. Shame, because as I said earlier, lovely staff. Lovely little area to eat too. I did take pics of the fish and 20 chips, but I can’t upload on here,...

I sat down and politely asked for a tea until my wife and Grandchildren arrived and then we would order breakfast, I waited ten minutes and was approached by the owner who asked me how long my wife and Grandchildren would be, I replied 10 minutes and was told to inside, I told him it’s a lovely day and I would prefer to sit outside and I would shortly be spending in excess of £25 but he became agitated and raised his voice, I said there are 5 available tables but by this time I had become uncomfortable.
