Good place to have breakfast and coffee. The place was a bit busy when I been there so I had to order couple of times to get all what I want but it was pretty straightforward. Recommend in a sunny day as is close to the beach

Not dog friendly AT ALL. It would be unfair for any other actual dog friendly establishment in the area to give these people your custom. After checking both doors I could not see a No Dogs sign. Whilst queuing I was embarrassed by the server acting as though I should know Dogs were not welcomed. On leaving I did find the massively faded A4 printed barely legiable sign and nipped back in to say "it could save their customers the embarrassment of being asked to leave if it could be replaced" I got into a discussion with the person in charge after he chased me into the street because he wished to be aggressive having decided I had shouted at the person I spoke to (I did not, and Im sure if I had, aggression in the street was inappropriate) after calming him and getting him to speak to me I got into a discussion with him and learnt a lot about the views on dogs he represented. He sneered laughed at any mention of dogs health or safety like it was ridiculous this was a concern when "its just a dog" thoughout the following... First off he asked "Why not leave them in the car" Yes people he believes in what is officially a national heatwave, that dogs of those visiting should be left in the car, a deadly situation and, as I pointed out to him because if the likelihood of the dog dying, Illegal Second option, a kennel...yeah still dangerously hot and risk of dying, I mentioned at this point about dog theft, at which point he did his sneer/laugh huff noise again and claimed, as this is not Korea and dogs aren't eaten, that dog theft can't exist. Why not just leave them at home was the next question, which rules out him wishing to do business with anyone who brought their dog on holiday to the area I guess. Finally tie them to a post in their Carpark... Eventually I told him I would have only bought water and a snack anyway and tried to break off the conversation and he acted like I had accosted him in the street and was holding him up, I pointed out it was the other way around...so then he started swearing at me

Bottom line they do not want dog walkers and their dogs, you will be a third class customer to them, and only tolerate them at set hours of the day because frankly your money keeps them going when visitors they actually want...

I usually give good reviews for food establishments.... Unfortunately today this one has fallen short of my expectations....SADLY..... and i have used this cafe for a while!!....today 23/04/17....i ordered a sausage sandwich on WHITE BREAD....when the order arrived it was placed on BROWN...with BURNT SAUSAGES!!!.. I asked the young helper to change it to white bread ...which she did...it was brought back to me on two small pieces of white bread....the sandwich was not cut!!!...the sausages inside were burnt!!!.....i handed the sandwich back to the chef/chef helper at the back not wanting to stand in the way of other customers.....i then stood in line to get a refund of the sandwich...met by a very dismissive till handler!...when i explained that i was not ordering but was asking for a refund after i explained that i was not happy, and that the sandwich was handed into the kitchen already, i was QUESTIONED AS TO WHERE IT WAS!?!....i explained again that it was handed back to the kitchen...i was not believed!!...i was told that nobody had received it!!!!... The refund of £3.60 was then handed back in a manner that was not one of a sincere apology but of DISGUST THAT I HAD DARED TO COMPLAIN!!!!...... It grieves me that i have to write a scathing review of a cafe that i have been using for a long time. And for all of this time the staff and the food have been exemplary!....but not on this occasion!... WHY???...

WHERE DID THE PLATE AND SANDWICH DISAPPEAR TOO?????.....NO ONE KNOWS!!!!!!......

EDIT...07/05/17

All was redeemed on the 29/04/17... I had a sincere apology from the chef on duty at the time ...and a complimentary sausage sandwich!!!!.....well done and thank you especially to Tamarine, part of the...

Have been coming here for years food good hot drink after a wet braising winters walk love it . unfortunately things have changed the food was wonderful severd and presented well. Problem the place is looking very tired and needs a make up sadly the local flies now eat here as well eating our meals was a battle to keep them at bay and not just one but dozens .l asked one of the staff about turning a fan on and she tried one in our section it didn't work. The flies just kept coming walking on the tables your body and landing on parts of our meal. You pay when you order and then wait so that's when the attitude changes and the flies begin .l spoke to a staff member who sent the next in line to talk to me. I asked to speak to the owner who wasn't there told her my concerns and asked what they did about flies answer was nothing only in the kitchen l said l can't see a food health number sign and she couldn't. I told her that l would give her 5 for food but 1 for a awful experience. I was not even given a sorry for my expensive eating with flies experience. I eat out a lot and must say l have never encountered flies in any restaurant or cafe in any country. This place needs a Weymouth Health...
