Consider yourself warned about this place!!! Absolutely disgraceful service and extremely poor communication from all the staff.

Having walked a fair bit (for me) to get here for lunch, first impressions were not great as most of the empty tables were filthy with previous customers dirty plates piled up. Despite this, we were about to order - the cashier knew we wanted hot food (2.28pm) but I took a moment to check what my husband wanted and in that time told (back to the counter at 2.31pm) that the kitchen was no longer serving hot food as it was after 2.30pm

There was no communication about this from staff, no signs / warning, full menus on the table to say that hot food stopped at 2.30pm and the staff really couldn’t care less. When I told the cashier, she knew I was about to order she acknowledged this and initially there was not even an apology - just ‘tough luck’ you’re a minute over attitude, what a joke.

We had a child with us, I am also a disabled person who struggled with a walking aid to slowly walk and make it here and instead of seeing this, being flexible, given they knew we were about to order hot food off the kids menu and was in the process of doing this, they refused to take the order as during the ordering process I was a minute over - really??!!

I explained to the waiter that gave us the table what had happened and he said they’d just ‘decided’ to do this and nothing he could do - utterly ridiculous!!

If you have customers come in and you know you’re about to stop serving hot food you should tell them immediately, have different menus of the food you offer and have clear signage.

I was so frustrated and angry, it made me tearful (mainly as I knew this was ridiculous and I had a hungry child who wanted a hot meal), so I asked to speak to a manager to complain and was told to go on Tripadvisor to share my feelings - so here you go.

What a baffling and terrible way to run a business. Given the stunning location, what a shame - this could be such a special place. We will not be returning to this poorly run...

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Roman temple ruins. The cafe has the perfect location looking out over the bay, and has seating both inside and out.

Staff were super friendly and even though it was fairly close to closing time they were incredibly accommodating.

We had the seafood platter, and even though they did not have a lot of crab meat, they offered to make it up with another part of the platter instead. That being said, the platter had a great portion of each of the seafoods, and the salad was very good too. Personally I really enjoy radish in salads so glad to see it here.

We also got a milkshake and a smoothie, the milkshake was a great refresher and my partner said she loved the smoothie.

Finally we also had a couple of cakes to finish our lunch, I had a rocky road which was superb, and my partner had the largest slice of coffee and walnut cake, which of course I helped finish off. Definitely worth going for a nice meal...

Normally like lunch here but not today. I had the £9.95 burger which was raw inside yes raw meat, one small bite and could taste it was uncooked and cool to touch, so I asked for it to be cooked more and it was taken swiftly away. then told a fresh one was coming. 15 mins later and still no burger, the other 3 in group had finished their meals, so I said sorry please cancel the burger. Then had to wait for refund to be given by grumpy the cook in a rude manner without an apology for the uncooked burger or wait for replacement eventually handed over a refund as if it was my fault. Wont be returning as not the first time the not cheap food was disapointing but not happy with customer service received today. Also noticed tables tacky, sticky, dirty as was the salt and pepper pots. Had to look for clean cuttléry in general needs a clean to...

Beautiful cafe situated in a stunning location near the seaside. Great service, lovely smoothies. Ideal for a coffee break or cool drink by the sea.

I love this place. We come here all the time and they never disappoint. I was worried when they said there was a change of ownership but it’s still the same great staff, great food and great service. We got there at 9.30 and I thought they were closed but a lovely lady came out and told us to come in. Our food was served really quickly and was lovely and fresh. Coffee is really good. The service was warm and friendly. Even had a giggle with the lady who served us about not eating our tomatoes (you had to be there). We finished with a beautiful walk over the top of bowleaze cove. It’s one of the best views in Dorset as far as I’m concerned. Well worth a visit and great if you have dogs xx
