Chilli Restaurant — Restaurant in England

The worst experience. Usually here is great however the service today was shocking. We was celebrating an anniversary, only 4 of us. We got there at 5:30 - opening time no one else in the restraunt. We ordered straight away, 1 hour and 15 later still no food at our table yet people coming and collecting their food and deliveries were flying out. We then got the food after 30 minutes later on top of that, the pilau rice was so stodgy and wet and mushy, the tikka masala was extremely peppery, and we was meant to be having 3 course meals, after 2 and a half hours been there , we had to leave and wasn’t waiting any longer , he didn’t even offer to take a bit of discount off for us all not having our third course, waiting 2 hours , and for the lack of apology for how late the food was £62 later … staff have become really arrogant, food wait time is horrendous , and the quality of the food is awful, chicken so chewy too, once a returning customer will never be returning again, we all came out feeling sick. And the place itself...

Maybe 4th or 5th time I've been here.and food is amazing every time. No frills. Decor is dated. but food is authentically superb.you can take own alcohol or buy from their bar! poppadoms and pickle tray .👌 Mixed tandoori starter was perfect. Onion barghi x2 light and crisp full of flavour with perfect consistency .none of that thick supermarket type stodge. Thin stone baked foot long naan breads were amazing. Main meals was Ordered and also perfect with fluffy pilau rice and chips. Real Indian home cooked food. Meal for 3 bill came to £55. Had a chance to speak to the restauranter who said he'd been in the premises for 30 years and 5 generations but was now finding it very difficult in these difficult times. please pay this place a visit if you enjoy Indian cuisine.Support local business....

Used to love it here but went tonight and not like it used to be. No music, so no indian atmosphere like usual. As the waiter pulled the chair out all stains was on them. The coke was out of a big cheap branded bottle served warm, had to ask for ice. The food was ok but not as flavoured as id like. Restraunt was empty but our food was over hour, takeaway guy was coming in and out with food though. Also smelling of cigs nice wiff whilst your eating after he just had one directly outside of window we where sitting. Staff wasn't friendly like the normal ones i go to in hessle. To top it off my bf found a Black hair in his main which he didnt tell me till after we paid, good job as id have been very put off my food. Wouldn't...
