My partner and I went to Chillies for a late valentine's dinner. When we arrived the restaurant had plenty of spaces available so we were seated immediately. We both ordered the Maley Paneer Chicken, with me having a Saag Paneer side and Onion Bahji's for my partner. The food came out very quickly, and I must say it was incredible. I'm not normally a fan of coconut dishes and my partner doesn't eat curry a lot, however the Maley Paneer Chicken was delicious. I was pleased with the Saag Paneer side dish, which was lovely and spicy without being too hot. My partner told me his Onion Bahjis were cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and helpful, explaining what ingredients some of the dishes included. Music was playing in the background to create a nice atmosphere. I am definitely going to return to Chillies as this meal was amazing, especially for someone who doesn't have Indian food often.

Tried this as an alternative to The Ganges. To be honest, not as good. Our server could have smiled. Our poppadoms were not today fresh. The atmosphere? There was none and no background music, so deadly silent. Our food and wine was excellent and decent size portions. We did book a table via their website and via their Facebook page and never received confirmation. We even phoned to verify, but no one answered. Would we go again ? Probably not. They have good food and wine and competitive prices, just work on the points I've mentioned and you will steal customers from The Ganges.

The menu’s are good quality, made of some fine wood. Been known to be ‘instrumental’. I’ve also heard “there is also a paper option if you can’t handle it”. Curry and beer compliment each other. Culture rating - moderate-high.

Ordered a takeaway at 7:22 on Saturday evening online the email came saying a pit would take an one hour thirty minutes which was fine. No call from restaurant to say there would be a delay, Called restaurant at 9:30 told it was on its way, considering the restaurant is about five minutes away by car it arrived at 10 pm and was luke warm. Called the restaurant and given excuses and I asked them to collect the food and return my money as I won’t eat luke warm food. I was advised that I would have to call the following day to have my money returned and don’t worry I will be calling or going to the store for my refund. Would I order again from them and sorry to say my answer is no. Customer service there wasn’t any, if food is going to be delayed then call and let the person know, also don’t send driver with more food than he can keep warm as no one wants Luke warm food after waiting over two hours thirty minutes. I would like to say if you can’t honour orders then don’t take what you can’t deliver. Fingers cross I will get my money back tomorrow...

I haven’t eaten the food yet and I can safely say we WILL NOT purchase food here again.

There is a recent review about punctuality (or the lack thereof) and I wish I had read it before giving Chillies a chance.

40 mins wait for collection we were told.

80+ mins later I was still sitting in the car and my husband didn’t have our food yet.

Apparently there is no sense of urgency either as he asked for our food twice.

The manager apparently thought we should be thankful he went into the kitchen to progress our order. He actually hid in the kitchen for nearly 30 mins instead of updating his customers.

I entered restaurant to ask for our money back before if EVENTUALLY came out. I was seemingly being unreasonable by stating it was wholly unacceptable.

In for a penny as they say, only reason we stayed waiting! Won’t make the same mistake twice!

Insult to injury, got the food now and the order is WRONG. Several items missing.

What a...
