This place is both lovely, warm and charming whilst also being difficult, obstructing and annoying. It is in the first instance a Lounge. It's low lighting, mood ambiance, candels after sundown are cosy, enticing, and inviting. The kind of place you would curl up on a sofa, under a cosy blanket reading your tablet in a relaxed tranquil atmosphere. If this is you, then it's perfect. If that tablet is a book then the lighting in most areas will be too dark to read comfortably. I've had a number of friends invite me here for business lunches, and reading documents is straining. It's also a popular place, so quite noisy. I have good hearing (and better than average vision) and yet hearing the conversation in a meeting is difficult. Not the cafes fault, popular is a good thing, although the wooden floors probably bounce the sound a bit, but it does make communication hard work. The staff are warm, efficient and friendly, and the food good. Do try their bacon sandwich. It's more a light snacks place over a restaurant and at "Westbourne" prices. I've given Circo 4 stars because it really is a nice place, just not suited for the reasons I keep...

My only grumble is that half a muffin is not enough to mop up all that lovely yolk! Maybe you could add another half muffin for mopping up, for a few pence more.
It was a very busy lunchtime service, but the staff were very friendly even though they were rushed off their feet, but we still received our meals in good time. We were sat near the door (having been moved to a smaller table seeing as it was busy). Unfortunately, it was freezing every time the door was opened (and really annoying that people held the door open for others 😂). It would be great if a screen was put up to reduce the blast of cold air. Otherwise, Circo Lounge is one of my favourite places to go with friends

Read moreWe come here regularly and brought family who’d come down to visit for lunch. Food was lovely as always as were majority of staff. Sadly not 5* as I approached a member of staff (long red hair, middle age looking) to see if a table she was clearing would be available upon after waiting at the door for a while (being close to Christmas we hadn’t booked and I wanted to check as to not waste anyones time) she then spoke down to me with instructions of staying by the door until SHE came to get us as though I were a child. As someone who’s worked in the industry I understand the stress of such a job but she was an Incredibly rude women who didn’t even come to get us but instead gave a slight head tilt towards the table before walking off. No checking we knew how to order or had been before. Not a single care. Awful customer service. She made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome and I truly hope she doesn’t treat all...
