An excellent little pub. What it lacks in size, it makes up character and friendliness. It has a range of different local handpulled beers, I think 5 when I went in, and and good range of lagers and ciders. The barman, who I believe was the owner, was knowledgeable about beer and explained the differences between the local brews on offer. Nothing seemed too much trouble and it was one of those places where you can walk in, relax and have a pleasant chat with the people in there. The friendly atmosphere fostered this approach and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. A good place to visit if...

Felt like a local but with all modern decor and there were several well-behaved pub-dogs in evidence :)

No/low drinks were of the pop variety, so far as I could see through the crowd at the bar, so I just had a can of orangeade. There seemed to be a reasonable range of alcoholic options

We joined a half-occupied table and had a little chat with our table-mates, and their dog, before they left and were immediately replaced: it was so busy.

Had booked a table but it was not ready until after our booked time (fair enough that is probably the fault of previous customers), but they had clearly been trying to maximise custom as social distancing was impossible. I appreciate they are a very small venue but several in my group did not feel comfortable at all. A shame as it serves some beer not many others in the area do, with a few local cask on too. I'd visit again post covid but not before on...

Great pub and story. Knowledgable bar staff and some great local beers on. Cask outnumbered Keg, as expected, but there was still the local IPA and a magnificent coffee porter on the kegs. Lots of bar games on the tables, totally dog friendly and a great place to have a few pints. Oh. And if that wasnt enough... you can order a cheese selection of local lovlies. Just brilliant...

1 for beer, 1 for gin. It was like a click gang around the bar. One woman said something under her breath as I had to push in to get drinks. No cash taken. Only cards. I asked why.he replied..why not. I don't agree with a cashless society. Not be back
