Went here for breakfast one crisp Sunday morning, and how lovely it was. Modern interior with big wooden tables and all glass walls to see out onto the river coquet and the North sea. It has a small menu but everything looked delicious and once my meal had arrived in a very timely fashion I can safely say, that it was. From small meals to snacks to teas and coffees, they have it covered. The place was full of people out doing the same having a nice time and happy to say it was dog friendly so lots of them to stroke. Lovely friendly staff and not to expensive, I'd definitely go here again.

We thought this place looked quite ordinary, but its certainly not, The welcome you get and the service you get and the food you get, Absolutely fantastic. Really nice staff, really nice food and fast and efficient service. Also seeing the way they clean a table and the surrounding area when someone leaves is very impressive. We would definitely recommend and definitely return.

By far the best calamari I’ve ever had - and I’ve had a few! Great presentation and care taken from the kitchen (which you can watch). Light seasoned batter and fresh salad. Menu is extensive and we went off the specials. Great value and lovely service.

Summary: Rushed, unfriendly, over-priced, stiff service, poor signage, rude toilet etiquette.

Popped in yesterday seeking tea & coffee. Staff member at the door didn't give you a moment to think before they are trying to seat you with zero warm welcome. I was trying to get a good look at the inside building but the staff moved us along before I could take in the environment or view what they had to offer.

We asked for outdoor seating after being told the outdoor seats we originally wanted didn't belong to them (I wish they had of told us who they did belong to). We opted for the outside bar as we are smokers and wanted to smoke with our hot drinks.

We were told a staff member would come and take our orders, adding to the impression we couldn't move around the building. We ordered quite pricey tea & cappuccinos which were both small. My Cappuccino tasted no better than Gregg's high street.

My partner began smoking when the staff then told us it was a no smoking establishment (no signage), so my partner had to move 1.5 feet off the establishment, which seemed rather redundant as we were already outside. I have a disability of the spine and also had to leave my seating to stand 1.5 feet away. I was not happy about paying inflated prices for poor coffee and STIFF service and getting the opposite experience to what we actually wanted.

We left asap as the environment didn't seem friendly or inviting. Discovered the seats we originally wanted belonged to a cafe next door which I sorely wish we had gone to instead. Upon reading others reviews about them denying toilet facilities to the disabled, it confirms what my gut felt - they are complete and utter stiffs, do not come here for a...

This place is in a great spot overlooking the harbour, we went in and it was quiet, good really as we had 4 kids and the dog with us. Other reviews have said staff were rude but we didn't find this, we had 3 different people at our table at different times and they were all pleasant. This was a very cold day in December and when we went in we all took off our coats, however they quickly went back on as it was freezing in there! I know energy prices are high but come on guys, you're a restaurant, turn the heating on! We all ordered food, me and my wife had flatbreads and a pot of tea for 2 (only one small cup of tea each!!), the kids all had the kids flatbread (well 3 did, the 4th is a baby) and a hot chocolate. The food was tasty although for the money, the portion size was quite small. The kids then all had a dessert from the kids menu, the chocolate fudge was gone in 2 bites, as was the ice cream sundae, very small portions. The kids had a soft drink with their dessert and we had another tea for 2. We then got the bill to leave and I nearly fell over when it was over £100.00!! For what we got, £100 was ridiculous, it's a nice place and the foods not bad but that's a premium price for bang average food. We definitely will not be back, there are far nicer eateries around where you can get a full meal for the same sort of money. Only scores 3 as it had good facilities, relatively friendly staff and it was a decent place to sit, even if it was...

I was on a day out with wife, meeting up with my daughter and her partner. My wife and I arrived early and were walking past Lill's it looked ever so nice so we called in.

On entering we were greeted by a polite young man who showed us to a table outside, requested by us as it was the first thing we noticed walking past, a couple sitting in the sun with a couple of alcoholic beverages.

We were asked if we would like food also but firstly declined as we were still waiting for out daughter. Around 30 minutes in we asked the young server or it would be possible to now sot inside, she was so polite and found us a table.

We ordered a couple of portions of crisps to tide us over, we also end up ordering a portion of fries, macaroni cheese and a bread basket (all very satisfying.

The staff were all so nice and could not do enough to help, lots of visitors had their dogs in the restaurant which I like to see as we are a dog loving nation.

We did leave and end up calling back in when our daughter arrived, we ordered two lobster specials and a selfish platter all we're so flavorful, we will surely be calling in again.

Keep up the great customer service...
