Coffee#1 Ross-on-Wye — Restaurant in England

Top quality and professionally trained staff, it makes a huge difference. My morning this Sunday the 27th Nov 22. Went out to get cake for breakfast as my dearest wife is American and I'm hooked on cake for breakfast.(You have all day to work it off, logical really) Went into Costa and five young staff behind counter chatting and ignoring customers, so I walked out. Went into Coffee 1 and the lady was busy serving but acknowledged me and said she would be with me ASAP. Straight away I'm at ease and know the score, when she got to me she first apologised for the wait and got on with my request. I commented to her how professional she was and that the service was brilliant, I told her of my experience in Costa and she agreed. Well done Coffee 1 for such service and properly trained staff that engage customers and put them at ease knowing the staff are doing all they can to serve them. As usual at various Coffee 1s in our area, the coffee and selection of goodies to go with them were excellent. The service is always very efficient and the atmosphere in the Ross branch is always good. Some of the smaller branches (e.g. Monmouth) are not in my opinion so good as there is not enough seating and they do not have the ambience of the larger ones (e.g. Ledbury). Extremely slow service, considering there were quite a few members of staff present so long waits . Drinks weren’t full to the top or completed how they are in other branches. White hot chocolate with no flakes and both drinks semi warm. Maybe more training is required. There were tables upside down with materials and screws around the corner near the seating area with most tables needing clearing. When we looked past again after visiting they had switched to take away only. Hopefully...
