We had a delicious evening meal here and decided it was so good we had to go back and taste the food from the lunch menu. We were not disappointed. Excellent choice of food from the lite bites menu. You also have an option to order from the main menu, specials, catch of the day plus desserts if you have room. We both had Ginger & Hoisin beef loaded fries with the most beautiful looking side salad we’ve ever seen! The dressing on the salad was also delicious. Price for lunch was very reasonable for the quality of food we paid £31.95 for two light bite meals, side salad and two coffee’s. Table water is brought to the table and there is good choice available from the drinks menu including cocktails. We finished with a good quality coffee. This is a place I’d definitely recommend to dine at. Lovely atmosphere on this visit yet again. Staff gave excellent service. Toilet facilities are very modern and kept very clean.

My self and my husband dined at No 3 this evening and it was excellent all round , we wouldn’t normally have three courses but when they said the soup was mushroom we had to say yes please, it was delicious, Jarrod had a fillet steak which was so tender it melted in the mouth , I myself had the slow cooked Pork which was delicious the crackling was perfect as was the mashed potato and vegetables, then dessert Jarrod had the sponge pudding soaked in rum he really loved it , my dessert was off the special board , Eton mess with a difference orange moose with raspberries and a lemon sorbet and flowers 😊 it was Devine . The service was excellent, the atmosphere perfect . Thank you Darren , Ben and all the other staff and compliments to the chefs. We have had a lovely evening. We highly recommend if you haven’t tried no 3 before.

From the moment I sat down the seats were incredibly comfortable. Food was just excellent. I had the lamb, tasted amazing and very soft. Vegetables had a good crunch to them and also tasted great. The dauphinoise potatoes were soft and cut easily. My brother had the steak and its one of the softest steaks and melted in the mouth. Dessert was great not much else to say about. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were exceptional. Didn't need to call for them, they just knew where they were needed. It got really bright and sunny at some point where i couldn't see but the staff pulled out the awnings without needing to say a word. 100% 11/10 would definitely recommend

It's always tricky to know whether all the amazing reviews really can be true. But I can wholeheartedly attest to this restaurant providing one of the best dining experiences I have had anywhere in the country.

Incredibly kind, genuinely caring service by a front of house team that you can tell really do enjoy serving customers and their restaurant.

Well lit, busy without being loud or cramped, extremely comfortable padded chairs and pitch perfect music and lighting make this a very very enjoyable place to spend an evening.

And finally the food. The mini portions of kids food we as adults were happy to polish off due their flavour.

The shared starters we ordered were fantastic and made us regret not ordering more.

When the mains arrived we were stunned by the generosity of proper solid cooking and thought that had been put into each dish. Well judged bavette, unctuous lamb, punchy Salsa Verde and an abundance of sauce kept the table silent as everyone tucked in.

The whole meal made the 111 mile journey for the i worth it! After 18 years a chef it's always always heartwarming and sadly rare to find a restaurant that is thriving...

I have been looking for a really good restaurant within 30 minutes of home for years. There have been several contenders but they have either closed or are too pricey for me. I booked a table at No.3 for 6pm as it seemed to be the only time available. Parking nearby was no problem and we arrived on time. By 6.10pm every seat in the restaurant was taken. Fortunately there were plenty of friendly staff so service was excellent. The food was better than I expected even though the restaurant was recommended by several friends. I made a quite boring choice: steak and chips. The filet was melt in the mouth, chips hot and perfectly cooked and the accompanying salad topped with pickled vegetables truly excellent. My companions waxed lyrical about the Sea Bass and the gourmet burger. Desserts were also top class. Although I didn't have one, cocktails were popular with other diners and the wine list was extensive. I liked that the server brought a bottle of chilled tap water without being asked. I also liked that all the diners appeared to be really enjoying themselves and the atmosphere was...

Visiting the area for a short break and this was the first proper restaurant meal we have had pretty much all year due to COVID and it didn’t disappoint. Great Covid safety measures in place, the place had a really buzzy atmosphere and it didn’t feel too strange even with the plastic screens in place. The staff were friendly and super efficient - although it would have been lovely to have taken a bit longer to eat our meal, as they had to shut by 10pm they needed to keep the pace going. They even came round for ‘last orders’ from the bar which also worked as a polite reminder to everyone that we would need to leave promptly at 10pm. The food was delicious - from the soft mixed breads to nibble on, to the twice baked soufflé and scotch egg starters, to the perfectly cooked rump steak and melt-in-the-mouth lamb, to the parfait and creme brûlée which were ordered and devoured despite being stuffed to the gills but we couldn’t resist! Really top notch food and at £90 for all this and a bottle of wine, exceptional value too. Great restaurant, great food and...
