4 of us visited on a late Sunday afternoon for drinks as we mozied around Ross on Wye a lovely historic river market town on the border with Wales. The King Charles is on the High St so easy to find. A deceivingly long pub with a garden. Dogs welcome. Really nice interior with plenty of space and seating, a very cheerful and welcoming landlord, all the attributes of a modern pub such as sport TV etc but somehow managing to avoid tackiness. The garden was peaceful and comfortable although much of it can only be reached from steps. The rest of the interior is fully accessible for customers with mobility needs. Customer service good. Prices reasonable. Real ale is available as is a good selection of ciders and all the usual array of drinks including beverages. If you are a real ale fan or in search of craft beer this pub is a but lacking. One if our group is an absolute beer nut and described as OK. Food is also served but we arrived just after kitchen closed around 2.30 so can't comment there. We enjoyed our hour or so there and just down the road is a pretty good fish and chip shop with adjoining sit down table service area open all day on Sunday perfect but thats another review reader. Enjoy your visit to the...

At last! A pub in Ross with Fantastic value and excellent food, the quality of the food is the suprise for such prices! Loads of choice and specials each night of the week. A clean, fresh pint at reasonable prices. I'm very impressed with this pub; the menus, the staff, the cleanliness and the way it's set out. I had a brunch for 4 quid today, all cooked to perfection and more than I could eat, the staff are friendly and don't make you feel like they're being inconvenienced when you request something or tell them how you like your food cooked. Can't recommend highly enough, credit where...
