We went to this cafe this afternoon for lunch but will never be returning again! I went to order our food, a bowl of chips, a young ones egg on toast as it was called on the menu and then I asked if we could have another 2 young ones beans on toast and poached egg on toast as my mum and I only wanted a small lunch but without the fruit shoot and cupcake. The young lady who served me said “oh I will have to ask the chef”, went to ask then came back only to rush off again returning with the chef himself who’s first reply was “What is wrong with my menu!” And “if we are busy I will not be doing it” I was completely shocked by his disgusting attitude and said “don’t worry we are leaving”. At the end of the day I was not asking for anything that was not on the menu. As for anyone with any dietary requirements I would not recommend this cafe as you would probably be met with the same attitude that I received today. As leaving another young lady behind the counter apologised and you could clearly see her embarrassment of what had just happened. Maybe the chef should stay in the...

So after waiting 15 minutes and getting confirmation from the chef that the pancakes we wanted were indeed still available we sat down and waited a normal amount of time but then the waitress said “the chef found those annoying” or something to that regard when bringing us the pancakes, why are you telling your customers that the chef is unconvinced by them and there food requests when he specifically gave the OK to order it, definitely not something i would want my customers to know😂. and then the food, the bacon was very fatty, chunky and cold we also ordered eggs that were also cold and extremely watery/runny… Now some people might like to chew on a cold fatty piece of meat but i prefer it crispy and edible. Overall ended up leaving without eating basically any of the food and left feeling like a nuisance due to the chefs comment and with an empty stomach, I would not recommend supporting this business as they clearly don’t care about customers and there experience/support. It’s a shame as the old owners took care of the place and did...

This place is slightly tucked away but is definitely worth seeking out.

Excellent breakfast options, all freshly-cooked, in a clean & modern place with outdoor seating. Seven of us had breakfast here late Saturday morning and we were all impressed with the food quality. The majority of our party had the full vegetarian breakfast, but I opted for the avocado stack (sourdough toast, avocado, two poached eggs, and a mushroom extra).

Really lovely, friendly staff. Why only 4 stars? Had planned to have breakfast here on Monday before heading home but found it to be closed, despite the owners having confirmed to Google that they open on Mondays just 7 days earlier. It’s really important to keep information current, even temporary closures, otherwise customers get disappointed and find more reliable...

We found this coffee shop purely by chance but what a chance find it was. Staff were lovely and the food was of exceptional quality and value. Toasted sarnies were our choice with the chips upgrade for an extra £2 per sandwich. There was a small wait for the food to be delivered but it was most definitely worth the wait. The menu had plenty of choice with Jacket spuds, pastas and specials on the board. There was also a big selection of cakes and sweets in the display case. We plumped for toasted sandwiches. The bacon brie and cranberry was without doubt the best ever and the ham and cheese was up there as well. The chips were skin on and cooked perfectly (not greasy). The salad was lovely, especially as it wasn't ruined with a dressing (in my opinion). Next time I'm in Ross on Wye, I will be going back.

Warm welcome, friendly staff. Place has had a revamp and looks fresh, the outside has lovely canopies - nice to enjoy in this still summery weather. I had jacket potato with cheese, and I asked for no salad and they listened ! A generous portion . Mum had Mushrooms with hummus on toast with poached eggs - delicious. We both had Passionfruit iced teas- all very tasty 😋 and a white hot chocolate sprinkled with cinnamon 🤤 Highly recommend. Our fave cafe in town. You must go visit !

That's certainly one of the best coffee Lounge at Ross on Wye. The small breakfast indeed is quite big to me. Food is hot, and made with a sense of home. The cappuccino is just perfect. Staff there are friendly and always wear a smile on their faces. Absolutely a nice, clean, quiet and comfortable environment for a hearty meal with a sip of coffee there. Highly recommended and will definitely re-visit.
