Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

I walked in with my 5 year old to be welcomed by a woman name Melissa swearing in polish whilst mopping the floor! (yes i can understand Polish!) I ignored this and proceeded to pick up a few panini's and make my way to the counter to be served by an extremely rude Katalina. I placed the panini's on the counter to be warmed up and recieved a phone call from my wife requesting I buy a few hot chocolates. Whilst on the phone my 5yr old asked Katalina if they had her favourite mint choc chip drink to which she very rudely ignored my child and just pointed at the menu!! Whilst on the phone, Katalina instead of warming my panini's up has proceeded to just stand there and say to her colleague how she thought Im rude as Im on the phone and that she doesn't want to serve me! My phone call lasted all of 30 secs!! Once off the phone i questioned her as to why she doesn't wish to serve me and why she ignored my child's question, to which I was just given a load of attitude and told I was being abusive. I maintained a professional stature throughout this conversation but was horrified at the behaviour and disgusting attitude!! One of the responses I got from one of the three girls at the counter was "you just don't know what triggers people off". I mean what on earth is going on with the staff here...I am not there to trigger anyone but just wanted to get my family a bite to eat and drink. I will never return to this store again!! Went back to Costa Maidenhead after 2 years. I thought maybe the atmosphere has changed. While most Costa coffee’s has better atmosphere after few changes inside the Maidenhead one is still the same for few years now! The smell inside still the same !! My daughter had a chocolate babychino which it was cold and when asked the lady she said we don’t serve it hot , yes but can’t be too hot but I can’t be cold either. I’m sure she didn’t make it fresh but poured the left over! Then she just warmed a bit and my daughter didn’t drink it because it wasn’t nice. She always has chocolate babychino in other places but never complained. We both had tomato and mozzarella panini and that either wasn’t warm enough ( never happened before in other places ) but we just ate it like that . Latte and Cortado was nice though. I wouldn’t go back anymore...

Unsure what has happened in this store, but in the last 4-6 weeks this branch of Costa Coffee has hit rock bottom.

I am a regular user who visits the store at least twice a day & cannot believe how bad it has become. The service is always amazing & the staff are welcoming.

But recently you never know if they will have what you want on the menu. I have visited & they have had no Syrups, Oat Milk, Cakes & Other items. The staff are always blaming it on the deliveries.

Can you also blame the deliveries for not being open the other day when I visited. I came at 8am and the store was closed & came back at 9.15am & guess what. YOU WERE CLOSED!!
