Walked in at 5.58, understanding they close at 6, however they still had a queue. I joined the queue, was told to put my food back as they had already turned off the ovens and to order quickly. (Baring in mind I was rushing to get my son something to eat as weād been waiting for hours in a&e to then return for our wait) Trying to be understanding I mentioned to the staff remember making my drink that I appreciate that they still served me even though I wasnāt keen on their customer service and mentioned I was also a barista for another business so I understand the feeling of needing to close. To this comment I made I was welcomed with a very rude member of staff laughing and asking where I worked because I couldnāt possibly relate to how stressful and awful her job was. I was then insulted by the staff member saying if I really do love my job Iām not doing it correctly. I quickly paid so I could leave because I was disgusted by their customer service. No matter where I have worked within this industry, correct me if I am wrong, but weather you walk through to door at opening time or closing time, every customer should be greeted and treated with respect and kindness. The lady behind the counter answered to me very rudely: āthis is sip cup, Im not getting in trouble for giving a strawā then turned to her male colleague and silently was talking, which made impression she was very unhappy for me to ask for a straw. Ice cubes get into the sip area and makes hard to sip the drink, also it is easier to drink and drive with the straw rather than sip.
