Extremely bad experience. I was on primary education QTS. Myself, I was not given hardly any support and they wouldn’t help with the assignments. And was then lately diagnosed with dyslexia. But it was too late to get any guidance I even needed. They can come across as friendly staff yes but it’s obvious they are only there for your money. But my whole mental health is completely shattered from this place, due to how they would come across with saying you can’t ask any more questions after the briefing, like excuse me what? And how many assignments they give out and expect you to be able to catch up with all and have no free time. They wanted me to have a gap year and expected me to perfect again the year after. With the lack of support they give on assignments and if you need to resubmit them. And wanting you to talk to someone totally different to sort out what you did wrong on one essay. Someone that doesn’t even specialise in your course at all. This doesn’t even help, as they have no clue how to fix the assignment either. Not even that, the PowerPoints they use, doesn’t even link to the assignments sometimes and all they wanted you to do was read things, loads of things just to answer the points for your essay. I legit watched a teacher read off a power point word for word. How is that anyway fair? If I had to present a PowerPoint and read off it word for word, i would of not passed.
Three of my flat mates ending up leaving also, two got put on a course they didn’t even want to do, hoping they would get on to nursing. But never did. But their excuse to why they were put on another course is because they accepted to many on the course they actually wanted to do. Like how do you even do that? And another friend, didn’t get any support from their course work either. Even when they tried to fix their resubmit. And then still ended up failing them. Basically meaning that they will have to do...
Read moreWorst university ever! AVOIDE at all cost I wish I had chosen a different university I got accepted to all 5 of my choices yet I went with Northampton due to the convenience of travel and I will forever regret this decision!
Studied nursing I failed a year then I repeated this year then I had to leave due to getting pregnant and university was all lovely and they encouraged me to leave and I will be able to come back the next year when I am ready ect pure lies NO I Can’t STF won’t funded it so no I am £60k in dept and still no degree to show for it unless I can fork out the nearly £10k tuition fee which I can’t as I am not working because I am home with my baby
I also have learning difficulties which uni sent me themselves for a profession re review because the one I had previously wasn’t good enough as wasn’t with someone that they know so then I payed the £500 hoping they are now going to assist me and support me in my studies like they have promised NO NEVER ONCE HELPED OR SUPPORTED ME!
Placements are awful they say they take long to out you in a placements to review and ensure everyone’s safety blah blah lies and lies. My placement wasn’t safe and all they pulled me out themselves! And I only got given another when I was passed 20+ week pregnancy and given me a placement that I asked not to be put in as it’s not safe for me or my unborn child I was carrying so then they didn’t acc out me back in placement and now I am meant to be repeating placement module only to be told it’s not funded with STF
Joke joke joke! Avoid this university they are very unhelpful unsupportive and don’t care about no students only the money...
