Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

July 2021 Really disappointed, as an "X" regular that had bought into the Costa App, and rewards scheme it is a shame to note that the service is again becoming sloooow. They repeatedly run out of decaffeinated coffee and have transcended into the unreliable service provider category. Upon the 4th occasion of them not having decaf (therefore no other option for me) and having got jammed in the drive through que for an age the server was condescending and passive aggressive about the situation. Goodby Costa, I am now using the drive through Sarbucks, less than 1/2 a mile down the road.This is at best an average place. I would advocate using someone else.

May 2021: I shoot through the drive through most days at around 6:30 am. Last few stops have returned to par. Also, the app of late is no longer crashing. Still a little frustrated with their central customer service as 5 of my transaction did not have the points awarded to my app and to date they have not responded to my emails (Ignoring emails for me, is a customer service sin of sins)

I have used this Costa for years and always had a great laugh with the team at the drive thru window. This morning I did not, the team member accused me of being rude, when I asked if the sugar was in the coffee (requested at the point of order). She was clearly flustered but said to me it wasn't as I had asked for it after. She asked for my drink back to put it in for me, I said it was fine I'd do it (because they had a queue). Then it happened I was accused of being rude! I was flabbergasted there was an exchange of words I just kept repeating that I wasn't being rude, which was met with - I'm not talking to you anymore, if your going to be rude I will be rude back, and raised the palm of her hand too me, plus a few other comments. I won't be using this Costa again I'd rather go out of my way to somewhere else than be met with that on my way to work. Shame the other members of the team...

Coffee and breakfast with husband, 10yr old and baby.

Quite a wait to order but there often can be in Costa with there only being one till. Ordered the gingerbread latte and there seemed to be as much cream/whip as there was latte, this definitely did not resemble the images on the advertising boards. The rest of the drinks were as expected.

There were no sauces offered with the breakfast roll and no accompaniments offered with the toast, other than the basic butter.

The blue sofa by the window was absolutely filthy and needs either a deep clean or replacing. It definitely had no place in a food and drink outlet being that filthy which is a shame as I’m sure it had been lovely at one point.
