Dope Burger — Restaurant in England

This place is a joke. I ordered from Dope Burgers on 06/11/2024 at 18:20, and the website said delivery would be in 70 minutes. After 90 minutes, I called and was told it would be another 30 minutes. Fast forward 3 HOURS, and still no food. Every time I called, they picked up and said, "hello, hello, can't hear you," even though they heard me fine the first time.

To make matters worse, some of the order was wrong. The guy on the phone promised us brownies to make up for the delay, but they never showed up. When the food did arrive, it was cold, soggy, and definitely not value for money. Honestly, I don't know how they stay in business.

I tried to be understanding when they said they only had one driver (which is their fault for lack of organization/ preparation). I had just finished a long shift at the hospital and just wanted a quick meal — not to cook. By the time I went to bed (because I had to get up early for work), I still had no food. I called to demand a full refund and was offered a free order for next time. There most definitely won’t be a next time!

The guy on the phone said to contact them via Facebook because the managers “regularly check” it, but I've heard nothing. It’s now been 6 DAYS since I reached out, and still no response. I regret not reading the other reviews before I ordered. Terrible service. I WANT MY REFUND and I’ll never order...

We ordered £45 worth of food on Sunday night, 19.38, on the dope eats app. Normally its quite a quick delivery. It said 60 mins delivery. After 1 ½ hour I called to see where it was and the woman said they'd been busy and it was just on the way out, it was now 21.12. I knew they closed at 22, and only being in cottingham I thought it wouldn't take long, however at 21.58 it was still not here so I rang and they said it wasn't far, but by now we were very unimpressed, and were told by the manager that if it didn't arrive in the next 5 mins we would get a refund. It went another 15 mins and it arrived. It was totally cold, the chicken was cold and dry and they didn't send a few of the sauces and extras we had ordered and paid for, the burgers werent smash burgers and for the "full salad" we couldn't even tell there was anything on it apart from a measly piece of lettuce. So I rang again but it was obviously shut by now, so I left a message and noone has gotten back to me and no refund, despite the food being 2 hours late, cold and totally inedible. Feeling very disappointed at what normally is a decent takeaway, and very upset. This is not OK, no matter how busy. Paying this amount of money for "fast food" and then getting it cold and missing parts, totally inedible. Disappointing to...

The burgers here are always good, however the experience I had today was sub-par.

I ordered through the app to pick up, turned up 10mins before my time and was told the food would be 10minutes, not a problem. Half an hour later I was still stood waiting for the food, as were maybe 5 other groups in there. There was clearly not enough staff in the kitchen, and the entire time I was there not a single order went out of the door. When my food did arrive after I had been stood there 45minutes, I was told the milkshake machine wasn’t working properly and that “it’s a bit watery”, which turns out to be an understatement and additional frustration, seeing as it cost me £6.50. The chips were also overdone, leading to a rather disappointing trip.

What was however the most annoying part, was that when I received my order, they had lied to say my order had been completed around 15/20mins faster than it had- presumably to make their wait times on the app look better.

I can’t blame the staff in there as they clearly were struggling, but the milkshake machine not working but still being full price, a very long wait for clearly rushed food and more disappointing service than usual, it wasn’t worth the...
