A well kept pub with a neat layout. I particularly like the natural light coming in around the bar, the barrels and brickwork behind it make for a well presented place to be served. You can tell this was a Wetherspoons at one point as the long journey to the toilets up some stairs is fitting. You might notice some very old but very good quality pictures of Hull on your way up the stairs too. It's very much a local men's favourite but that by no means should suggest it's in any way unfriendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming as you'd expect on a Sunday.
