Well I’d say first that I am happy there is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Hull. It’s a “FINALLY”. We don’t need to go all the way to Leeds for Korean BBQ. As a Korean food fan especially Korean BBQ, I’d say this is good food. But since they are just starting I will say there’s still a lot of room for improvement.
I took my British in laws with me so they can try Korean bbq in a restaurant. This is not their first time with korean bbq tho as we always invite them at our home bbq. We were happy with the food but these are my opinion:
Good stuff: our favorite is the LA Galbi. Cuts are thick enough and juicy. *lots of side dishes *great service and staff are very friendly *korean chicken and kimbap are on point *sauces for dipping are good especially the gochujang *ice cream at the end of the meal was a sweet ending for our meal *they have a wider list of choices for korean drinks compared to other KBBQ restaurants *they added the lettuce in the buffet now Hurray!
Room for improvement:
*I think the meat with marinade needs a bit more seasoning or a bit more marinade *Japchae is lacking the sweetness factor *some of the banchan is a bit bland too. *The spaces for the table too are a bit small especially when Korean bbq has lots of side dishes and stuff that needs to be on the table.
We are still looking forward to come back and maybe we can try the cheese dip as well (Cheese dip on Korean BBQ is a MUST TRY!!) We will surely be regulars of this restaurant same as when it was still...
Read moreWent there with my friend on first opening day. Impressively fully crowded on the very first day. We both enjoyed all the authentic Korean bbq, side dishes and Korean dishes. I had tried a few K-bbq places before and I would say this place marination of meat is the best. Meat size are bigger than other places so it took a bit of time to grill but it was worth after as it kept ur meat really juicy and tender after u cut into pieces and eat them unlike other places where meat cut are small so shorter time to grill but easily dry out on stove. Sauces are quite unique as some of them are home made. Not just Korean authentic sauces , they provides Thai home made sauce which I strongly recommend to taste it together with beef slices which will give u a taste of Thai beef salad. Szechuan powder is provided if u wanna try as well. All meat are perfectly marinated and they also provide baby octopus which are quite expensive! My favourites other dishes are Kimchi soup (the best I ever had! ) , Korean white radish kimchi (very refreshing!) , vegetable Tampura ( very crispy and freshly made !) . Last but not least BINGSU!! (Korean popular shave iced dessert! ) which u can only have in that K-BBQ restaurant!!! Definitely these are must-try! While I am writing this review , it makes me think of all them and hungry . 😂 Definitely will be going there again and whenever I crave for Korean food !! Owner is so friendly and lovely as well. Highly recommended Korean...
Read moreIf you’ve never tried Korean barbecue, you’re seriously missing out. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience. From the moment we sat down, the sizzling grill in the center of the table set the tone for a fun and flavorful dinner.
The selection of meats was top- spicy pork belly were the standouts. Each cut was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection right at our table. The marinades were flavorful without overpowering the natural taste of the meat.
And the banchan—wow. Those little side dishes are like hidden treasures. Kimchi, pickled radish, seasoned spinach, and more kept coming, and each one added something special to the meal.
If smoky, savory, interactive dining is your thing, Korean barbecue is a must-try. Just be sure to come hungry—it’s easy to overdo it in the best...
