Cupcake Fashion Tea Room — Restaurant in England

I was really looking forward to visiting this cafe, I hadn't been for 10 years, and it's likely it's changed hands since then. It's a lovely space and parking was easy. However, my family had booked a table for 8 and weren't expecting me to to be there. When I asked if a table could be added I was met with puzzled looks, incredulousness and a resounding no. OK, if it's not possible that's fine but they were so rude, with not even a sorry, I almost walked out, except I hadn't seen these family members for years in some cases. I sat at a separate, 2 person table close by (that I feel could have been moved, but nevermind) I had an omelette, which was cooked promptly and looked lovely but was a little dry, tasting more so by the end of it. The table was cleared as I was still chewing my last mouthful 😊. I know the staff were busy, but even when talking to each other they came across as rude, brash and dismissive (one lady in particular who may have been the owner/manager). There was a comment by said lady that an order for cheese on toast had been taken, ("who took a breakfast order?") which was on the breakfast menu, which, she said, finished at 11.30. I looked at the menu, which infers it is the Full English that stops at 11.30. Lastly, not much cake on offer for a cafe called cupcake fashion 😔

In response to the owners comment. I was the only extra person to turn up. I cannot remember where the disabled toilet was so cannot comment on if it would have blocked it, but you only needed to say that at the time. Hidden behind the ridge centre, cupcake fashion is a little treasure of Chipping Sodbury. Popular with friends and family meeting up over a hot drink. I asked for today's special 'Cajun Chicken with rice' however rather than having rice I asked for a salad instead. Nothing was too much trouble for Karen and her team. I was so pleased with my meal. Called on a Friday to see if I could make a booking for a Monday. Got the number from a friend and came highly recommended.
