Massive improvement over the previous cafe, nicely refurbished bright and clean. The view of the sea and Deal beachfront from the end of the pier is outstanding

A young friendly front of house team , what they lack in experience they largely make up for in enthusiasm. However they would benefit by more coordination to ensure the waiter service is timely for all customers. We had good service but I did notice one or two other tables who had to remind the waiting staff that they were waiting to order.

The menu offered a good choice , we enjoyed our eggs benedict and coffee the produce was good quality well prepared and presented.

The pain au raison that followed was unfortunatley not so good , it was a little “bready” and dry. Part of the reason may have been that they were displayed on the counter top without a cover. From a hygiene viewpoint it would have been better if they were under cover , this might also have kept them moister however fundamentally I think the pain au raison mix / bake was not quite right.

The ambience could be improved further with some well chosen background music. The was something playing (maybe a radio channel) but it was indistinct and vaguely irritating.

Whilst we have noted a couple of improvement points above , we recognise that this is a relitively new venture which undoubtably continue to improve as they gain experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definatley use again...

After the amazing reviews we braved the queue system - the comments on the queue seemed harsh - we were well informed throughout and the staff member was really helpful.

Whilst I would say that the food for grown-ups, was good and the speciality seemed to be the lobster crayfish dishes, which I had and enjoyed. It was the children's menu that really let it down. Whilst they seemed to have some nice ideas, with homemade elements it didn't actually translate to food that children would eat. The 'homemade baked beans' were just too far away from what a child (or adult) would expect as 'baked beans' - there seemed to be barely any beans, just lots of uncooked chopped tomatoes, with no seasoning or flavour. Had the dish been baked or sauce reduced it had the making of a good idea. We ended up having to reorder a dish for one of the children. The fish goujons ordered as a replacement were overcooked the outer so crunchy and dry that they were also inedible.

Had the menu been explained by the staff perhaps we would have made other choices. The menu seemed to have been designed either to not accommodate children or by someone with little experience with children. The staff also offered us a special which was a 'smash burger' however the staff member was unable to explain what this was and we overheard her openly tell someone that she didn't know what it was.

Unfortunately the fabulous view will not be tempting our...

Apologies in advance to the owners as the restaurant does look lovely and I’m only sorry not to have had a chance to experience it and write a better review. Appalling experience with the staff while queueing at lunch time today (17 April 2023). After we waited outside in the cold and wind for more that 20 minutes with two small children, the waiter in charge of fetching the next group in line for the table repeatedly missed us and took other customers in, to a point where one of them actually had to say that we were there before them. To which the waiter (without the trace of apology or compassion) said: “well, this is what happens when you don’t stand in the queue properly”. When I pointed out with incredulity that with two kids under 5 it’s impossible to stand in one exact spot, but that for anyone (especially working in F&B!) it’s really hard to miss a family of 4 on a small 3x3m patch at the end of the pier by the restaurant door, among maximum 3 other groups (!) waiting for tables - he was rude and condescending and said “well, this is how it works and nobody has a problem with it”. We left immediately, as we were not spending a penny at a place where we were treated like that by a staff member. It’s a shame really, as we were looking forward to it and the kids...

Came here for a Hen Do and we had their bottomless brunch. This is my first bottomless anything and I was a bit sceptical is to how bottomless it was going to be....as we all know I like a drink! To start with they bought out some snacks and they were lovely, some olives and sun dried tomatoes, some bread and hummus. Then we got to order off the menu for our brunch itself and I had a burger and sweet potato fries and then something from the counter for dessert...I had a cherry bakewell cake. Which was a bit disappointing. The lovely staff were very helpful and we were allowed to add a few decorations and they kept us topped up for our allocated slot. They even extended our slot slightly as another group came in and their attention was diverted slightly so we got an extra 15 mins of fizz. I think the £35 price tag was well worth it. It's a lovely classy venue with amazing views all round. Being at the end of the pier you get great views both out to sea and in land to the town itself. So lovely. Wish I'd taken more photos.

we thier and ordered 3 meals they were ment to be lunch all of the dishes where like a side dish and not really anything you could call lunch, we are vegertain, but mine the abergine had no abergine but was the biggest meal. My partner had the cauflower cheese and it was poltry seven chips for a min meal with a 2 inch by 2 inh 1 inch deep slice of the Caulflower cheeses and my nices was the same small. Had this of of been Indain restunarnt side dishs then ok, but thess where advertised as mani meals. the toilets were very clean but no toilet roll and the room was warm. But because of the size of portions and cost I give them 1 start it was £12.50 for my partners 7 chips for a main meal my ninces chick pea and butter nut squash was equally rubish in treams of portion we will not be going tere agin as we like to feel full after paying £40 to eat. Better off going to a chip shop

We went here for lunch and were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food and the portion sizes. I ordered the vegan casoulet - described as a “tender grilled aubergine, gently simmered with savoury beans, aromatic herbs and hearty vegetables”. This is no way describes the bland, mush of food I received with couple of slices of aubergine on top only. It was served with stale, toasted, granary bread despite them offering sourdough- which I would have had to pay extra for! The dish was already £10.50. If I’d wanted a coffee I would also have had to pay 50p extra for any type of non-dairy milk. I didn’t order one. My husband and son ordered the chorizo hash and the lobster and crayfish roll which they were also very disappointed with. I’d love to be able to recommend somewhere local to me that offers vegan options but sadly I can’t recommend here.
