Disappointed today. On previous visits pre covid everything was excellent. Today's visit was totally different. Afternoon tea for two consisted of 9 tortilla chips each, 4 finger sandwiches each,half a sausage roll each, small slice of quiche each. Sweet element was 2 pieces of rocky road , 2 small chocolate covered ring doughnuts and 2 tiny strawberry/ cream flans. 2 scones ,cream and jam to finish. Last visit everything I could imagine and believed was homemade this time it didn't feel all was ( little sweet flans/ doughnuts) There was the option for copious amount of tea or coffee but overstewed with no hot water . Yes I know could of asked for it. The sandwiches that were coming out for people who popped in to eat looked fantastic so obviously fresh beautiful food was being prepared...

It was quite a busy little place, that coupled with the sunshine and the very active kitchen made for it being quite warm inside, but seating is available outside for those inclined and dog owners. We ordered three meaty breakfasts, and three coffees. One could argue service was a little slow but it was a busy morning, and the young lady (who I think may be on work experience) brought us our coffee with a smile, so that makes up for it.
