An absolutely bad customer service at Deli-cious today coming from the owner themselves. We were out on a walk with my son in town centre and we wanted a coffee and some cake. We decided to support an independent business so we popped into Deli-cious as we had never been before despite ordering online from them a few times and the food was always really rather nice.
Don’t get me wrong, even today, but when I was ordering a chai latte, I asked for an alternative milk. They asked me if I had an allergy or an intolerance. I said yes, an intolerance. It was followed by “Unfortunately we can’t sell you a chai latte as it contains milk powder.” I replied it was all right, I knew what I was doing and requesting, had my lactase enzyme with me to help me to digest it and showed them the bottle. The waitress went to the owner, only to return later to tell me they were sorry but they couldn’t sell it to me because it was too much of a risk. However, they could sell me the red velvet cake cos I said I was going to share it with my son. Like as if I share it, the risk suddenly goes away to where the sun don’t shine. Also, why didn’t the (probable) owner come to tell me themselves instead of later killing me with their look when bringing me the oat milk latte?
P.S. The only risk that would come from me having the oat chai latte with them would be blocking the access to the WC for the rest of the customers. The lady serving me is not to be blamed though, she was nice, just doing her...
Read moreWas there yesterday, support the local. The food arrived very fast but the food was cold, the sausages were cold, I swapped bacon with extra eggs instead they gave me a cold sausage. A regular supporter but was disappointed with the service, the waitress asked me to leave after my meal and coffee as the cafe was extremely busy yesterday. They should lead the customers to upstairs but they rather kicked me out. Your staff did not ask me to go upstairs, I do not see anyone with wheelchair coming in during that time and moreover my table was quite behind, it’s no way the person can move their wheelchair to the table where I sat. You have to ask everyone to stand up and move their tables and chairs to reach the table where I sat. Me and my friend we there 2 weeks ago and we had the laptop because we wanted to book a holiday we where there less than 3 hours and this was the second time I brought my laptop. Yesterday I was there just slightly more than one hour not 3 hours!...
Read moreCheese and onion toasties are very literally just that. No side salad or even garnish making it all look a little pale and sad. Cheese and ham toastie the same, and had stray onion in it. Hot chocolate arrived with cream which we didn’t order, and waitress reluctant want to take it back, so instead gave us a plate and spoon to scrape it off. Very slow service, to the point it was starting to become funny it was so bad, we even got to the point of asking for plates to be cleared (to no avail) and we were left with our cream scrapings on the table right to the end of our lunch. Asked whether the food had nuts in to be told they didn’t know. Cheesecake base very hard to get through with a spoon. Staff were having an argument as we left. A shame as we have had a good experience before. Hope this...
