Dixy Chicken — Restaurant in England

2nd Visit, Big Mistake, from bad to worst: 22-May-2022, Again a poor dooooo, I was against going back to Dixy when my friends suggested to take some fried chicken back for our kids, however two against one I ended up going back and made our order: Low customer service Not helpful, we kept repeating our selves The food was not good tasteless, cold and low level You will get a bigger fried chickens, chip portions in any kids happy meal from any takeaway and a better fried chicken (not a crispy butter and well seasoned rather Soggy and oily sign of no cooking experience). Chicken burger meal was also cold and made my son ill The chicken wings you will need a magnifying glasses to see it, more like robin wings, so small, unbelievable and as for the price I paid so expensive I had to call my bank all in all the meal was a joke and I wouldn't recommend them I know I won't be going ever again

My First Visit Not good: Fried Chicken ok but the service on a low side. I went to Middlesbrough for Halal shopping, we found Ramadan offer still on, we order the 9 pieces of chicken, I specifically requested Breast pieces and legs, instead we got thighs and legs all in a closed box, I went back to the gentleman and requested him to change the thighs to breast again he was trying to fob me off with some unconvincing bla-bla, could have been easier to state that we don't have breast, thus I could have decided for something else. I never got breast pieces even after 3 attempts, he was so evasive I just gave up, after my son said leave it dad!!!, typical low level of communication of some cashiers from our culture, the unsaid is crucial, we started guessing me and my son, that could be no breast pieces are included on the offer and he didn't want to say?? only god knows. At the end of the day I decided to have a bit and let my son eat the rest, I didn't enjoy it, however the taste was nearly ok not something that blows your mind or you want to come back for. Furthermore before eating, I wanted to wash my hands and to do so you need again to negotiate the key with the cashier and enter the premises to the staff area for you to use the toilet or even to wash your hands, hopefully they will improve on customer service from every corner including...

I would definitely think twice about sharing this 5 piece grilled wing :HOT: MEAL, chips, drink - £7.99. Absolute bargain and, I'd honestly say the most tender wings, in Middlesbrough. That's including, the restraunts aswell. I eat grilled wings everywhere, serious, order wings from the grill if you never have, I know many order fried and maybe unaware of this option as grill is located further back but, wait the xtra 10 mins, won't be dissapointed. Customer service is spot on, the main man on grill, NAAD 👌👍😎 Very polite, listen to customers, you ask for hot spicy well done, that's, what you get. Been coming here around 2 years now and once about 8 years bk, forgot about it as diverted into curries however, popped in by off chance, he mentioned they do hot wings, wings is winner for me personally, only 2 wings in photo but there is 5 in meal. Dixy Chicken in Middlesbrough was a complete letdown. My experience there was nothing short of terrible. The food was cold ,tasted stale and uncleaned. The chicken was not cleaned properly it was having feathers and skin with hair soggy and greasy. The hygiene standards were appalling, with dirty tables and floors that hadn’t been cleaned in what seemed like ages.

The staff were unprofessional and rude, showing no interest in providing decent service. To top it off, my order was messed up, and when I pointed it out, the staff seemed indifferent and didn’t bother correcting it.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was an all-around bad experience, and I won’t be going back. Save your money and go...
