STOP AND READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING

Ordered three deserts from this Madras Road branch and honestly THIS WAS THE WORST MISTAKE.

They sent me three items that were just horrible and stale. We tried the items and just looking at them made us realise that these were not made fresh.

The cookie dough was cold and the syrup had just jammed up in top. The brownie was just stale.

I called the manager and explained politely that we were unhappy with this order and offered for them to pick it up and look at it for themselves, they refused.

I asked for a refund as they had not delivered items that were edible or up to standards and Tahid their manager just turned around and flatly refused. He argued with me continuously and was rude to a point were i honestly felt angry that as a customer i was being shoved aside even though it was their mistake.if i had gone to a restaurant i could have sent the order back but he didnt even offer that.

There are so many bad reviews and we wanted to give them a chance but honestly do not bother and waste your money here. You wont be happy with what you get and your evening will be a disappointment.

They are rude and dont really care about the customer. They would stupidly rather hold onto the small amount of money they made of this order and miss out on future business from me and my friends and family. What we asked for was a simple refund based on what they delivered which was not right. No more or less. We didnt even eat it in case the wanted it back.

I am seriously disappointed by this horrible company, their service and their standards.

Final note, dont bother eating here or ordering from here. They just want orders out quality and service...

I have bought from doorstep desserts many times before and my experience has always been mediocre at best. My most recent order was the worst one yet. I ordered around 11pm and the delivery time was 1 hour and a half later. I was willing to wait. However because many members of my household were alseep I stipulated that they ring my phone when they arrive. The order arrived 30 mins earlier which was okay. But instead of ringing my phone they rang the doorbell. And woke my family members up. This is greatly inconveniencing as many had to work the next day. The delivery man also told me When they bought my order that a product that I ordered wasn't available. Not only wasn't it available but that they didn't sell it at all. I would have hoped they would have informed me by phone before they delivered it at which point I couldn't do anything. He also told me that they had replaced the unavailable item with another. Which I didn't want. I grudgingly accepted and informed him of my request to ring me when he arrived. He did apologise however I don't think that that was enough. The worse part was that when I opened my order. The item that I didn't want (a small box of nerds: small American sweets) spilled out. The box was torn open and they fell everywhere. The order also wasn't correct. Some items that I had ordered such as still Vimto were fizzy. I am appalled at th service. I would have accepted a phone call atleast letting me know any issues with my order before hand. If I could I would have given them minus stars for this customer service. Apaolutely appalled. Will not be ordering...

It's 8pm and after going out for meal we decide we want to order in some dessert for a treat. After looking on JustEat we thought why not try Doorstep Desserts as it was rated quite well. The order went through with an estimated arrival of 9:30pm. A long time for delivery. At 9pm we recieve a call saying that there was a problem with their system and that it had crashed, giving us the option to cancel. In hindsight thats what we should have done because the customer service we recieved was appalling. After ringing us at 9pm they gave an estimated delivery time of 30-45 minutes. At 10pm with no response we rang the restaurant for them to say that once again it would be there soon as they are finishing up on the order. After telling them over the phone that this is not really acceptable despite the system crash they offer us complimentary extras, reluctantly we agree and are told the items would be there at half 10. It is now roughly 11pm and we ring the takeaway once more for them to contact their delivery driver who had got to flats in the duration of the 5 minute phone call. Once again the man on the phone apologises profusely. We get our order after a 3 hour wait, hopeful for some decent complimentary items, to find.... one singular pack of Wild about Nerds.... one pack, one pack, is that actually a joke. Complimentary items after a 3 hour wait? Yeah just have a pack of Nerds instead. That's not on. The waffles were alright to be fair but that wasn't on. Wouldn't order from here again. Also could have given a better flavour of Nerds rather than What-a-melon and So...
