Went with my family today to W2 World Buffet. The pre-book system and check on door with temp checks etc was what I expected. Once inside I felt their charges for children of a certain height was excessive with drinks. Once inside and seated the waiter explain the ordering system using a app and barcode on table as the waiters would bring your food due to covid 19 rules. You could order up to 5 items at a time for each person but no extra drinks included with payment apart from the one drink we got at start. The portion of food we got were very small in amount so you had to order more times which was allowed but one thing is, it allowed us to try all the different halal items on offer. Some of the items like the beef were overcooked and it tasted like rubber but the noodles and curries were fine. Kids enjoyed the ice cream and deserts. A bit different to the whole buffet experience and with food amount, felt the place could review the kids prices as the height chart is a bit unfair with its price tag of £7.95 each for kids under 5. Nice decor inside with a nice atmosphere and staff were all friendly and polite.

Giving 5 stars for recognision but wouldnt even give it a one! Would never recommend this place to anyone. Got there was security on the door that was blocking the entrance and giving us dirty looks. Got to the checkout and the girl booking us In was rude and clearly had an attitude. We wanted refill drinks and were only allowed to order them if we bought all the toddlers with us refill drinks too which was not necessary. It cos over £130 for our family to then be served raw chicken and dry, stringy and discoloured foods. We called over a member off staff to show them the food. He took it away, waited for another member of staff to come look at it also and they both took the plate out back. When one of them returned to the table they said they had just temperature checked the chicken and it was hot enough to be served and there is a sign stating that the chicken maybe discoloured due to being cooked in soya? Looked for the sign stating this and never found one. Asked to speak to a manager and was told no managers were available. We all went home feeling poorly after consuming food here and will never return.

Food wasn't bad, some was cold but it's expected with most buffets. Most of the food was delicious though the rice was hard 😞. The crepe and ice cream roll stations were great, choosing your own flavours and watching them be freshly made was a nice experience. The cotton candy and chocolate fountain stations weren't on along with some other foods which wasn't ideal when you're still charged full price. I had to pay adult price for my 10 year old because he's tall which seems a little unfair as just because he's tall doesn't mean he eats more than someone shorter, but hey ho it's their policy. Staff watched us the whole time as we ate however, not just us but other tables too. I understand there is a waste policy but it made the whole experience incredibly uncomfortable and ruined the visit. Worth it for the food, but the atmosphere was not welcoming and likely won't be returningbit with the kids anyway. Definitely worth a go if you're looking for a well rounded food buffet.

We should have known something wasn't quite right when we arrived. Being asked to pay before even being seated should have been the first clue. The warning signs were all there right from the beginning but naively we ignored them. Having paid we were shown to our table. The waiter didn't wait around, he disappeared immediately leaving us somewhat disorientated. He gave us no information at all, didn't even say "enjoy your meal", or "if you need anything just ask". No, he just disappeared. Where are the drinks? Do we just go up and grab food? We knew nothing - so we explored and started trying different foods.

I will say this, there is a huge selection of food, from a British roast, to donna kebab, Pizza, Indian, and Chinese. The problem is, non of it was of a particularly good quality. The restaurant is all you can eat, but frankly I didn't want to eat all that much since it was not nice food at all. Even the deserts were nothing to write home about - although there is plenty to write about them in a review! They were horrible, and clearly filled with a vast quantity of additives and preservatives. I still cant make out what some of the flavours were supposed to be.

We had been told by several people that this place is amazing - and I am sure there are those who would be sold by the promise of refilling their plates as many times as they want. The problem is I would rather have less choice, but really tasty food, than piles of bland garbage.

I could write pages about each individual dish that my wife and I tried, but the fact is we were not impressed with any of them. There were people who seemed to be enjoying their meals, but unfortunately it wasn't for us.

When we left we walked past several staff including the bar staff. Not one of them acknowledge us at all on our departure. No one said "good bye, hope you enjoyed your meal" perhaps because they knew the quality of the food we had just suffered through. Maybe they were too afraid to ask, or, as I suspect, they simply didn't care. Indeed the issue seems to be that the staff just don't care about the customer experience. come in sit down - we have your money so who cares about the rest.

We left feeling sick - not because we had gorged ourselves, but because the food really wasn't that good at all. We both said that we would have eaten better in McDonalds - certainly we would have enjoyed it more. We were really looking forward to this evening and we both felt...

The range of food, and chocolate fountain were good, but that's about the only positive thing I have to say about this place. It's an extremely typical multi-cuisine buffet. The food was tepid, and bland, or just plain odd-tasting in many cases. Desserts were probably the best items there quality wise, but that's really not saying much. Maybe there's some value in the novelty of having several different cuisines under one roof, but it's definitely quantity over quality. I suppose it's good for groups or families with kids, but theres definitely better options, just get a takeaway or go to any other restaurant like Nando's or PizzaHut and you'll have a much better experience.

There's a £15 minimum card payment upon entry - for seemingly no reason (which appears to have been £10 a few months back). It's £12.95 for dinner, which makes the minimum charge very annoying. This could be made less annoying by them offering to let you buy drinks upon entry (~£3), but they do not, which means another £15 min spend at the bar when getting drinks. The minimum payment feels like a racket to avoid taking card payments; in favour of cash, which feels shady. Contactless is also not accepted... in 2020.

Contrary to other reviews, we didn't notice any bad service, all the staff we encountered were fairly pleasant - which is pretty amazing considering the number of kids running around causing a nuisance, and inconsiderate guests piling their food so high it slops off their plate onto the floor when traveling back to the table.

The music drove me slightly insane. The same 3 minute "happy birthday" song was played back to back around 5 times; 15 minutes of this inane, saccharine, off-brand birthday music, playing at a volume slightly too loud to tune out, on top of dozens of kids running around and the seating being packed together tighter than battery hens in a coop made me want to spend as little time in there as possible.

Which is probably...

2nd time there, had a really horrid experience yesterday with the member of staff at the counter which i attribute to racial profiling. Got there with my family of 6 and asked for table of 8 as i was still expecting 2 other pple. She asked us to wait in the waiting area for the whole group as no other person can join the table after being seated. Fair enough, we waited but then decided the wait was getting too long so we decided to sit separately and get on with the meal we had come for. I approached the member of staff twice to explain we no longer needed a large table and was willing to sit separately on smaller tables. This lady did not address the request but kept saying in a rude to manner to go back to the waiting area and wait for a table. This happened twice, on the 3rd occasion, my husband , brother and I approached her again trying to explain that we were happy to be seated separately and on smaller tables. She insisted that we should go back to the waiting area as our table wasnt ready yet. This was baffling. She then rudely told us to move aside to attend to the customers on the queue behind us. We waited till she attended to them all and stated our request again, told us if we were not happy to eat there we could leave the restaurant,!!!All we asked for was smaller tables rather than a large table for the group. Mentioned she wasn’t listening to our request and she called the security on us. We neither threatened her nor raised our voices, I wonder why she felt the need to call the security rather than address the request. The security came and we explained we just wanted smaller tables rather than a large one since we didnt want to wait any longer for a bigger table. That was all we asked for. This was then sorted and we were given tables for 3 within a few minutes. This incident caused us needless embarrassment and It seemed to me to come for a place of prejudice Totally ruined my...
