Dr.inks Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in England

As I now live away from Darlington, when I first saw Dr Inks a few weeks ago on a lunchtime, I popped in on a 'reconnaissance' to check it out for possible future use (when I was next back in town). I asked if they could do Margaritas and was told they could make ANY cocktail. Three of us therefore went in last Friday night to sample the drinks. When I asked for 2 'classic' Margaritas I was told they couldn't do them because they had no salt. I said no problem, we'd have them without the salt but was then told by the person serving me that she didn't know how to make them ( and they're one of the simplest cocktails to make). I should have guessed what to expect because I also went in earlier that evening around 5 pm just to check out the 'form' and ask a few questions before returning later for the intended drinks. Whilst there were customers sat a tables there was no-one behind the bar so I waited.....but when no-one showed up after around 10 minutes and other people were waiting behind me, I left. We went for a bottomless brunch and was very disappointed. The decor was quirky and lovely. We’d ordered grazing boards and one afternoon tea .The food for five of us arrived on three wooden boards . Which were spaced out along the table so making it hard to access the board at the opposite end of table especially when it was supposed to be grazing boards. There was no more than two small bread baguettes for 5 people . Four pieces of pate. All meats and cheeses minimal . We asked for more bread and told they hadn’t any more . The drink was very slow and we had to keep asking for another one . We paid £40 each . Sorry but won’t...

Had afternoon tea there yesterday 2nd March 2019. Food wasn't great and hugely over priced for the portion size. Definitely wouldn't recommend for food. There were 3 members of staff trying to cope with us a party of 13 and a party 27 upstairs and customers coming in off the street. There was long waiting times to get drinks. Food was dropped whilst serving and items missing. We waited 15-20 minutes just to pay our bill. Really poor experience. On a plus point the staff were helpful and tried the very best they could but they were stretched to the limit. Managerial failure to staff establishment...
