The Juniper Tree — Restaurant in England

First things first... Poor customer service.

Arrived at 19:30 for a table I had booked (several days ago)for 19:30, night started off well.. walked in to be met by a young lady who greeted myself with “can I help you?!”, as if I shouldn’t of been in there, or at least that’s the vibe I received? After explaining I had a table booked ect, the young lady said we hadn’t any tables, we was just left to wait around which made me feel really uncomfortable after ten minutes or so we was told to sit at the most rediculousy places tables and chairs , not even given a menu so had to go up and ask , got the menu and there was literally just “starters” panini sandwich or baguettes or whatever they were. Very minimal poor options and we were under the impression of dining here having a few drinks and seeing where the night takes us , after looking at the menu we got up and walked straight out the door( me and the mrs) and came across an Italian called Uno Momento. Fantastic place so head there this place is not couple...

I would just like to say how great the staff are. They're friendly, polite and very chatty, however the manager/owner is an absolute embarrassment to the place.

On the window there is a sign dog friendly establishment, my wife and I go in for a couple of drinks most Friday's with our dog. Every time we go in the staff and fellow customer's are all over our dog. Tonight manager/owner asks us to have our dog off the couches, which we were obliging with, and finishing our drinks to which she came back to the table, and to use the term LOST IT is an understatement. She starts raising her voice, pointing her finger and went to grab our dog. we then left, to which she still carries on ranting to (I suspect family members) as we are walking in front of her.

She was an absolute embarrassment to herself and her staff. Won't be going in again. Shame as...

Wel what can I say. Usually love the place. Been coming every Friday tea time. We have also had breakfast and, Usually recommend it. With our dog for about 4 month. The staff so friendly. Usually our dog has no lead. Never complained about this. Well tonight. After having a couple of drinks. The woman owner came in. Screaming and shouting at us. N now we r barred because we stood up for our selves after her 👉 and Screaming in our face . When we were trying to be calm. Yet a boy she was with was stroking her before she came in . He never said anything. And then to walk away out in street calmly. She continued to scream out in street at us. Also shouting about it for the full walk down street. So sad that our once lovely after work drinks Have turned up like this. ! Wouldn't give one star for ownership. ...
