Rude door staff, particularly the blonde woman and the man with long hair. I can appreciate a ‘smart casual’ dress code - however the blonde woman allowed a queue full of young lads in all wearing sports sweatshirts/north face hooded jackets etc in, but walked down the line and seemingly picked my sister in law out and was extremely rude to her, and humiliated her. My sister in law is staying in the U.K. for 3 weeks and is visiting from New Zealand. What a terrible impression you gave her. Seems the ‘no sportswear’ only applied to who she and her colleague fancy. Basically - if she doesn’t like the look of you, you’re not coming in. Thankfully, the old brewery and Clayton’s nearby were much more welcoming, and interestingly it seems your door staff have a name for themselves for being rude! I would avoid this place until they get some better door staff at least. You either have a dress code that applies to all, or you don’t. Don’t pick out and humiliate people. Absolutely...

Never written a review before but this experience warrants it. I’ve net some pretty bad bouncers but never worse than the brunette female bouncer who worked on Saturday 2nd Dec. Refused to get some water for my friend who’d had too much and was physically aggressive kicking us out despite not being met with aggression whatsoever from anyone from our group. Bouncers jobs are to protect, especially girls protecting girls. She shouldn’t be in that job if she can’t fulfill the basic role of a security guard. It’s a shame as well as you don’t get many female bouncers and we felt comfortable being at the place at first because of this, but she was the worst out of all that worked that night. Seems to be a running theme reading other reviews that this place can’t choose the right bouncers. Apart from the one called James who made sure we were ok when outside. Threatened with being banned, rest assured we will never be...

We have been coming here for many years family and friend. Last night we attended as usual and was confronted with a very unpleasant female security who did not want to let us in on grounds that made no sense. So much so that the other security personnel told her she did not have a ground for not allowing us in and allowed us in. She seemed angry, and personally disturbed. Behaviour like this is unacceptable in a place like Marlow. We did get in, but the unpleasant behaviour resulted in us not having a good time in your business where we have been many times for food and drinks. The only reason I am giving you two stars is because previous experiences has been good. Get your manager to have a chat with this unpleasant security lady as if we see this one more time we will contact the directors of your business directly...

The Duke of Clarence pub on Marlow High Street is a large open and spacious venue. Plenty of seating with booths and round tables and a decked beer garden out the back with even more space. Also a bar in the back garden. I went on a Sunday in January and it was very quiet but friends we were with have been often and said it gets rammed. Nice place and definitely going back next month on a Saturday to see just how busy and lively it gets. Bar staff were polite and friendly. Good vibe.

5 star lunch - Made a last minute decision to stop off for roast dinner yesterday and glad we did! It was really impressive - lovely roast beef, huge Yorkshire pud and loads of veg. Got some sides of cauli cheese and pigs in blankets to round it off. Great service too, we were checked on several times. There’s a nice atmospheric on a Sunday afternoon, very chilled. Will be back soon ☺️

Stumbled on this place yesterday , looks amazing inside and the staff are lovely , the food is very basic and not that great, I had chicken flat bread and it was dry and lacked any flavour at all , my friend had fish and chips and the crushed peas were dry and the the fish wasn’t anything fantastic which is a shame as the inside was beautiful
