Having worked in catering most of my young life, I have to say that this place, even though a chain restaurant, did it perfectly. The gay gentleman who served us was training a new girl. It was an extremely busy night, but he managed to simultaneously: 1- make sure the new girl was getting her train in and he kept an eye on her 2- made sure we were satisfied and that our order was taken correctly 3- made sure no other customer in the busy restaurant was made to wait for service more than a few seconds. 4- topped up any glasses that were empty 5- asked if we wanted more of anything that ran out on the table, as soon as it ran out

A few minutes after my gf and I arrived about 12.30 on Sunday, two dozen other people had arrived, about ten of them children. Yet we were served quickly and looked after kindly throughout. The 3 serving staff and 1 chef was evidently the perfect balance.
Amazingly, the atmosphere remained relaxed and easy despite all the children - no-one screeched or ran around. All told an excellent experience.
Marlow people generally seem kind and patient.... a most welcome experience after an hour in Henley.
Note - only 1 of the 6 desserts apart from ice cream was free from chocolate. Note 2 - my disabled gf experienced the seat of the disabled loo as too low. She managed the 3 steps from street level to the door and one...

I had an incredibly upsetting experience at this Pizza Express branch. A staff member named Charlie, a tall brown haired white male, was not only rude and dismissive, but also made offensive and racist remarks during my visit. I was shocked by the unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. No one should have to experience this kind of treatment—especially in a public setting where people go to enjoy a meal and feel welcome.
This kind of conduct should NEVER be tolerated by any business. I expected far better from a brand like Pizza Express. I hope serious action is taken against this individual, because nobody should be allowed to treat customers like this and still keep their job. Until this is addressed properly, I will not be returning—and I’ll be warning...
