*I booked for 11 and when we been there for dinner tables were not ready. *We had to sit 3 different table when it was a family dinner. Why? Then we fixed our own table and my brother sat in between 2 table where no space to keep his food. Still we managed. £10.95 is minimum order and staff could have said it politely because Customer wont do the math there right? some of us wanted to leave but still we managed. *Took a mix grill and all it was about is ONION. Really Chef? As if I never knew this dish. A dish called House Special price £12.95 what do you expect in the dish? At least some pieces of eatable food right? 1 pieces prawn (Not king prawn), 2 small pieces of lamb and 2 pieces of sliced chicken (Not Chunk Chicken). I BEG you not to rob customer like this way. I asked the staff very politely to re-check it with chef if everything was there what were supposed to be in it and he did in about 50 second saying the Chef checked the CC camera and confirmed its all good. You think its logical? Anyone would believe that? He counted the pieces through CC camera? We still managed. Thank you. Read moreDuring the first week of 'eat out to help out', we were struggling to find anywhere to book a table ahead, but luckily Eastern Balti were very accommodating over the phone, although they didn't have a table until 9pm. We were grateful as we struggled to find anywhere else. Unfortunately though when we arrived at 9.01 (we being visitors took a bit longer finding parking/having to get round the one way system in Kendall), the waiter told us they had just given our table away and that they had a problem and double booked. Being 9pm we were then left with the likelihood of not being able to get a dinner put at all as we had no cooking facilities in our accommodation and most places closed at 10/10.30. They weren't very apologetic and it was obvious the other people had just arrived before us and the restaurant decided to give it away since we were not there dead on 9pm (9.02). I'd strongly recommend not to rely on your table still being there, even if you had booked ahead, after a long day of hiking and exploring during the Help out to Eat out period. Fortunately another Indian restaurant in Kendall called Mumbai were happy to squeeze us in as long as we had finished by 10.30 when they closed. Read moreReally unhappy with this restaurant, collect our order as the delivery time was a joke. Went into order and the customer service was blunt, apparently its a cheaper price for cash than card however both prices he calculated were more than the website. Gave them the benefit of it and placed the order, waited 30 minutes for the food to be prepared even thought the restaurant was empty.
Arrived back to find there were items missing out of the bag, called then immediately to be told they weren't ordered.. even though I have the receipt and I physically watched him write the order out on the pad! So overall I felt I had been over charged for the food and with poor attitude of the staff and also had food missing which I paid for which for a business to argue over with the customer is disgusting.
The food itself was at best below average, the curries bland and the portion size small.. would never visit this...
