Avoid!

This used to be really nice. Food would come in nice cardboard boxes. Good portions and fresh. Unfortunately it seems it’s gone drastically downhill.

Food order wrong. We ordered fish separately to chips because my daughter is vegi. It came with the fish plonked on chips!

Portions awful. Ordered a large and medium. It was more like a medium and kids. Large curry and peas expensive but probs 2 tablespoons in each.

Forgot bread bun. Not even sure we have correct order!

£30 for two fish and chips we wouldn’t even pay £10 for

Batter and chips are brown. Has it already been recooked? Which is worrying considering…

Arrived in taxi and lukewarm, around 30-40 degrees. Not food safe and must have been on road dropping other orders off for a long time.

I wouldn’t normally make an effort to leave reviews unless have a very good experience or a really bad one.

Great little chippy. It costs only £3,50 for a curry chips unlike Fridays of kendal they rip you off by charging an extra quid,yes £4.50.,so do yourself a favour and support the stramongate fish and chip chop,who have reasonable prices and great food,this is the business I will be supporting in the current climate and not one that likes to rip its customers.well done and keep up...

My missus won a chippy tea for two through Facebook. I had fish, chips and mushy peas and she had a battered sausage, chips and gravy.
