Dull, and not cheap. Hardly the most cheerful place in town! Just bog-standard, and unremarkable. Less noisy than many similar places... A plus-point! But, maybe cause it was far from busy?! Food was OK at best. Cannot think why I would be drawn back there... I won't... update, today! Workmate convinced me to return, very quiet@noon,and the service was friendly, the food ok(good portions, though!!). Pricing about the norm, of late! Tiffany's, close by, has a much better standard, across the board, and a much more 'cafeteria/bistro' (not working man's caff!!), ambience, about it!! Plus,it's hours of opening are due to shrink, as of next week.. Closing by 11.30am,each weekday?! Tells me that business is not good, right now?!! Maybe, tiffs has adapted to the present times, better than the feedwell... Hmmm??? P. S. Last weekend, trying out Tiffany's... I tipped the polite, delightful, waitress!! Never felt the urge, in feedwell!!?... But then, most of their customers, seem like scaffolders!! (apologies, but, I have a degree in H+Catering!!) 🤣🤣NO apologies, whatsoever to scaffolders!! 🙄🙄🙄Open til...
Read moreThe feed well cafe is a lovely place for a proper breakfast it is exceptionally clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is of a very high standard with very good quality food. Portion sizes are amazing and excellent value for money. I will definitely be returning. Just read a review from a John Hattersley . Just to put the record straight the cafe is doing very well and the reason we have been closed at 11.30 for a while is because my husband was recovering from hip replacement surgery. Yes this cafe is a work man's cafe and we have never tried to be anything else. This person obviously has no taste if he thinks tiffany's is of a better standard especially if he saying he has some degree thing in catering. You have no business judging our customers and all the 'scaffolders' you have refered to have been loyal customers of ours for years. This cafe has been in the same family for 53 years so we must be doing...
Read more70s/80s style cafe based on the sea front between Hove and Portslade, opposite the boating lake.
Very much a working man's cafe. Which has been hear for at least the past 20 years. Plenty of outside seating for when the weather is nice. A few parking spots outside. And plenty opposite
Breakfast is very basic £10 buys you a small breakfast, then you can add extras. Personally I thourt it was very expensive for what you got and the sort of cafe. However, if you want that 70s, feel and a bit of memory lane, then this is definitely worth a visit.
Cash only.
Review hasent changed. They must be doing something right to have been there all these years. Great little cafe. Proper old school...
