What a find! G&T are relatively new to Ingleton. But it’s clear that the ladies who own and run the cafe are not new to doing this. Great fresh food, all prepared to order. Fab cakes. Very friendly & helpful, relaxed atmosphere, soft music, clean, good decor. My egg mayo and Bakewell Tart hit the spot!! It all tasted as it should! Apple juice and coffee excellent. Good value too. As a solo traveller you notice people and I could see folks smile as they bit into their food, that simple pleasure when it tastes good! We sat for a while figuring out what we wanted until one of the staff asked us if we were going to order yet in a hostile manner. With the high prices and rude staff staring us in the face, we decided to leave and go somewhere else. As we were leaving, one staff member forced us to pay for the electricity that one member of our party used for five minutes to charge their phone. The food was very good—everything was perfectly cooked.
​A special shout-out must go to the traditional items: the Black Pudding was very nice, and the Cumberland sausage was spot on!
​Beyond the plate, l loved the quirky signs, which gives the place character.
The owners were busy but friendly —they were happy to interact with me and made me feel welcome.
