I’d love to give this place a glowing review as I have a real penchant for provincial Italian restaurants. They all tend to have their own distinct character, and in my experience Italians are a cracking bunch - warm, friendly, entertaining etc. Certainly the owners of this place and their waiting staff seemed very nice, but in all honesty my wife and I had a dreadful meal. The meatballs were out of a tin and the carbonara deeply unsatisfying. Pudding was ok but not life-changing. We also shared a garlic bread that managed to taste of nothing whatsoever, which is an impressive achievement in itself. Maybe their pizzas are earth-shatteringly good? The atmosphere (insofar as there is one during a pandemic) was friendly, and as I say the service was prompt, friendly and workmanlike. Obviously an Italian (or for that matter any other high street national cuisine) that serves chips is probably best avoided. Sorry if that sounds too snooty but it’s a good rule for life. My advice to them would be to limit their menu to (genuine) Italian staples that they can do well, and serve them only. My advice to you, unless you’re hypoglycaemic and truly desperate would be to avoid Gianni’s. Who knows we could have got them...

Absolutely love this place. We had a last minute booking rather late in the evening. The restaurant were very accommodating and provided excellent customer service. We had to order quick as they were due to close shortly but suffice to say, once ordered, the food came VERY quickly! Food was absolutely delicious and authentic in every way. We ordered several dishes, some of which had to be custom prepared due to our vegetarian dietary requests. The dishes were flavoursome and if we had room, we'd have ordered more!

Toilet decor was interesting, be sure to check it out!

Will recommend all to come here for great food and a great italian vibe!

Please note, this venue is NOT wheelchair accessible unfortunately, due to it being a listed building. This is the only disappointment for us as we had to pick up our pushchair for baby and carry it up a short...

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Visited here a couple of weeks ago and have returned to review as we were so unimpressed! Owner and staff were extremely rude. Rushed into ordering. Had only sat down a few minutes before being told "you better order we are going to run out". Prawns were tiny and definitely frozen. Food was fairly tasteless, staff rude and too expensive for the quality. It was someone's birthday so we asked if they could put a candle in one of their chocolate slices. Stated I was happy to pay extra for this. Came out with a candle in a scoop of ice cream...I was genuinely embarrassed. Unsure how they have 4.4 stars as its the worst Italian I've ever had! Definitely making their money on tourists who will visit once and never again. Regret paying anything and not refusing to pay for such a...

Absolutely no idea if the people of Penrith are brain dead or these reviews are fake, this is possibly the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, ordered a pizza and they sent it out with the toppings randomly in 4 quarters all separated, when I asked if it could be mixed they sent it back like this (see photo below), absolute insanity! My partners meal was bland and tasted similar to a micro meal and my starter of bruschetta was literally bread and chopped tomatoes, nothing more. Thankfully they took the pizza of my bill. Absolute shame as the building is really beautiful but is unfortunately occupied by clowns.

To start with staff were not so friendly as we were a little late and it was close to closing time. But as we settled, ordered our food and conversed a little in some broken Italian, they relaxed became friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. Great hidden gem for true authentic Italian food that will even put food in Italy to shame. This Italian run family business is a must . Highly recommended and would definitely go again! Grazie mille! Scusa ancora, siamo in ritardo!

Absolute banging Penne Pancetta the best pasta I've ever had in a long time. Ordered a second Penne Pancetta after I finished grinding the first one. We're seated immediately at the first 1 minute we came in. Staff were friendly and no one had dropped any bracelets into my food 😹 Just might be a little too loud, but you could sit outside on a terrace or inside. You have a clear view of the kitchen😉 Very good restaurant highly recommended 🤑🤑🤑🔛🔝🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
