Disappointing experience, Rang ahead for a takeaway, were told it would be 10 to 15 minutes. After arriving and waiting 40 minutes after we originally called we were told 5 more minutes and the order would be ready as they were waiting for the tomato to grill. There was a refund offered but we declined as we did want our food. Opening the order after leaving… the tomato’s were raw on the breakfast so I’m not sure what we were waiting for. A little honesty on wait times would have been appreciated. Have been before and staff were extremely friendly, this time they seemed a little quiet and tried. It didn’t make for a good vibe. Cosy cafe with a good selection of cakes and hot/cold drinks. A nice place to meet with friends and chat in a comfortable environment. Very comfortable if you like - there is a seat in the window that you could lie on like a bed (see pic). I've visited a couple of times and felt the same about the acoustics - The tables are close together, so I felt a bit self-conscious when the customer next to me could hear all the rubbish I was talking (perhaps I just need to speak more quietly). The usual plus points apply, it's a great spot for gazing out of the window. Not so much people watching here, but good if you like watching cars go by (I do). Smashed Avo on toast with Bacon was good, but there's a lot that feels unfinished about the place. Good - parking near by, simple menu which is quite different, good selection of cakes and they roast their own coffee. Bad - ordered a batch brew and was told after paying that they couldn't do it, so I got an espresso (keep the 40p price difference, its fine) Didn't get a spoon with my espresso which is unusual for a coffee spot. The seating is also very hard to come by inside, 3 tables and the wall seats are ridiculously higher than the other seats. Wouldn't return...
