I wouldn’t bother. There is a staff member who runs it there who is so rude. I went in over the summer holidays and asked for 3 rides for 2 children and the young man serving me accidentally charged me for only one ride each. When I checked after paying he apologised and tried to refund my ticket to start again but couldn’t, so told me not to worry and wrote on my tickets 3 rides. I watched the young man go to his manager and explain what happened and he was visibly annoyed with him infront of us. The poor young man was saying “it was a mistake”. Obviously then wound up he went hunting for my children who had that written on their tickets and started saying “oh you’ve paid properly, but you haven’t paid properly or you”…my youngest daughter is five and looked confused and upset as she didn’t understand why he was saying that to her. I approached the manager and explained that if he had a problem with it he was to come to me, not my children. I explained that my kids had done nothing wrong, we had been charged incorrectly and it was their mistake. He then backtracked completely saying he was joking, but it was obvious he wasn’t, as he was clearly wound up about it. I was livid and it ruined a fun day for us...
Read moreWe spent several hours by the Groves and in the park. The railway was the best bit for my six year old grandson, he absolutely loved it. The men who operate it are really friendly, clipping the tickets adds to the experience. My only complaint. Two of them were smoking when not driving . Please go out of sight of impressionable youngsters to...
Read morePretty disappointed to be honest. Drove all the way here from Liverpool as my little boy is obsessed with trains and it was underwhelming to say the least. One train and lasts 1 minute. Also rude and unhelpful staff. Would I return or recommend? No I would not. Also the play area in the park is not suitable for little ones. No parking either so prepared to walk at least 20 mins from a car park in the centre. Shame we were really looking...
