Rated low overall because I wanted to speak about this experience. It’s a shame because I love this place. Came here to revise and hadn’t ordered anything yet. One of the staff members was cleaning and asked if she could get us anything before questioning if we had bought anything already - which is completely fine and I understand that you have to order to stay - the only issue was her poor attitude. She ordered myself and my friend around saying we were not right and had to leave. I ended up saying I would go and order which is not a problem as I’ve had to do so before at Starbucks (again I went in to study and just hadn’t gotten thirsty or hungry yet). I’m only 18 and she was clearly older but I don’t appreciate being treated like I child (this would be wrong even if I was a child, it’s a cafe not a school and I am not her kid to discipline) as she even moved my things and was incredibly dismissive. Like I said, I’ve been asked to order before and have no problem as I understand but at Starbucks the staff member asked me very nicely saying that unfortunately I had to order something to stay. This staff member however, didn’t ask me to order but said it ”wasn’t right” and tried to kick me and my friend out. I’m hesitant to come again as I don’t want to encounter her but this is a nice place so its a shame (all the other staff members have been nothing but...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance enveloped me, with cozy lighting and tasteful decor that perfectly blended modern elegance with rustic charm. The staff were incredibly welcoming, greeting me with genuine smiles and ensuring every detail of my visit was perfect.
The menu was a culinary masterpiece, offering a diverse selection of dishes that catered to every palate. I opted for their signature [specific dish, e.g., truffle mushroom risotto], and it was nothing short of divine—each bite bursting with flavor and crafted with the freshest ingredients. The coffee was exceptional, with a rich, aromatic blend that was the perfect complement to their delectable pastries. The [specific dessert, e.g., lavender-infused crème brûlée] was a highlight, striking a flawless balance of sweetness and sophistication.
What truly sets this cafe apart is its attention to detail and commitment to creating a memorable experience. The service was prompt yet unobtrusive, and the atmosphere was ideal for both a quiet moment of reflection or a lively catch-up...
Read morePopped into this cafe today with my friend to have a coffee. We ordered 2 decaf cappuccinos. We were charged £8 for the two coffee's. I queried the price as the price board Clearly stated they were £3.50 each. I was told by the man serving me whom I think was the owner that they charge 50p more per coffee for decaf!! I have never ever encountered that before. What a rip off ! I go to alot of different coffee shops in northampton and have never been charged extra because I ordered a decaf coffee. The place was so loud and noisy ! There was even a man asleep in the corner of the downstairs part with a full cup of coffee. He was still there and asleep after we left. You couldn't talk or hear yourself think as it was so very loud. Not relaxing at all. We will certainly not be going back ....
