A wide selection of cocktails are available not to mention the Grasshopper itself, which has a great punch, a must if you are going. There are lots of wines and spirits to choose from. There is a food menu too and because it is owned by the people from Chalk it's going to be quality. Inside there is a beamed ceiling and they have converted the outside into a cosy space.

Really lovely atmosphere and decor, with friendly staff. Very good food, brilliant wine list and delicious cocktails! Recommend the Grasshopper cocktail. Tried a section of dishes, which were all big portions for the price. New favourite place in Wokingham.

Re-opened under new management and cocktails were lovely and different and service was great, super friendly and owner who is very passionate about his craft. Thoroughly recommend. 👌

Very rude manager.

We visited on a Saturday evening for a few drinks with some friends. We ordered a round of cocktails and beers, when the beers arrived they didn’t look right and after one sip we could tell something was off as they tasted vinegary. We went to the bar to ask for a new one as we thought it needed a barrel change or something however the manager was reluctant as she had tasted it and said they were fine. When we eventually got offered a change of drinks we went for bottled beer to avoid the same thing happening again. After they had brought over the replacement drinks the manager came over to tell us we would still be changed 50% for the beers we didn’t drink, on top of the cost of the replacement drinks. Her reasoning was because she had served 100s of beers and couldn’t see anything wrong with the beers we returned. We said that’s not right as we hadn’t drunk the original beers due to them tasting off. At the end of the conversation the manager walked away and said ‘I guess customers are always right’ which we found very condescending. We had planned to stay for a few more drinks however after this altercation we payed our bill...

Hate to give negative feedback but it was just a meh experience. Firstly booked a table for food at 6pm. We were early (half 5) and the place was shut (despite the website saying it opens at 5). Not the end of the world we went over the road for a pre-drink. Arrived at 6 and place looked nice but odd to have half the place not lit, saving money on electricity? As designated driver I'd say you need to consider your prices on soft drinks.... Mix of food ordered and it was mostly underwhelming. The duck spring rolls were the saving feature and we ordered another lot. Calamari was sent back as it was undercooked. Taps were out on the bar and they were being fixed whilst we were there. Very noisy and disruptive - why not do this in the day? Luckily we had a black Friday voucher which brought out bill down to something more reasonable, I certainly would have begrudged paying £100 for what we ended up having. Again really sorry to give this feedback, we had high hopes but it was just a bit deflating on...

Loved Grasshopper ! The space is lively, great decor and ambience. The food was superb. We tried all the small plates but for the fish ones. We also had one of the sourdough flat breads. Everything was super tasty, well presented and good sized portions. Very reasonably priced. My partner had the IPA and said it was really good. We went for Saturday lunch but I'm already planning an evening out there to try the cocktails. I think the location in a quiet road away from the town centre buzz is spot on and makes Grasshopper a destination in...
