I visited the Greek Olive on the recommendation of a Greek colleague and it definitely exceeded the recommendation! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by very friendly staff, who welcomed me to the family-run restaurant with genuine smiles. I quickly noted a variety of customers from birthday parties, families, couples, friends and locals popping in for food. I thought this boded well for my experience and I was so right! Three very generous starters of aubergine dip, prawns and sausage were served quickly. The prawns were big king size ones and there were so many of them! They were absolutely delicious but it was such a huge portion (think main course serving and then some!) that I was forced to share. The aubergine dip was lovely. Followed by the ribeye steak (cooked perfectly rare) and halloumi skewers. Both mains were again very generously portioned - see photos - but sadly were not finished due to the sheer portion sizes. We were then offered, on the house, tasting portions of dessert; apple in pastry. They were warm, crispy and delicious, however, one remained uneaten due to being so full. Overall, the Greek Olive is a wonderful, genuinely local restaurant offering very good food and incredible value for money. I will definitely be returning but having learnt from the above, will probably share one starter between 4 people or forgo a starter altogether so I have room for my main!

In a secluded non-restauranty place. There is parking behind but very less. Pics added for all I ordered. Starters are all meant for 2 people the meatballs stuffed with mozerella one I ordered was good. But it did not taste like mozerella though. Main was the lamb which I didn't like. It was cooked well and all, but no taste. Potato served with it was super salty! Desert was famous Greek desert as per their menu with baked flakes, which was okay but the ice cream served with it was cheap. Ice cream was one of the reasons i ordered it in the first place. Hence disappointing. Staff was cheerful youngsters. I would not visit again. And the bill looks so fake! No vat nothing! How this place gets good reviews is a mystery to me.

WOW! If you are in Swindon, make sure you visit Greek Olive! You'll be greeted by a friendly welcome and a charming spot across from GWR Park.. nice Greek music in the background as you sip your Mythos and make the tough choice of deciding what to order with so many good dishes on the menu. The food is fresh, large portions and very tasty! This pictured is the mix grill.. everything is delicious and the meat very tender, not over cooked. As a Greek myself, I can't believe it took me this long to come try Greek Olive.. I'm literally coming back tomorrow to try a few other plates from this nice menu. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!

Took my girlfriend here for dinner. We were greeted immediately by the staff in a really friendly manner and were taken to our table. Me being fussy asked if we could sit outside. Our server arranged this for us which was fantastic. We wanted to do the Greek Mezze way. Our eyes were bigger than our belly and we asked our server if this is too much, he agreed. We were grateful for the honest response. The feta in filo pastry with honey was to die for. Portion size was fantastic, service was amazing, can’t wait to come back.
