Happy Spoon Ice Cream Parlour — Restaurant in England

Oh my God! I have never seen worse managed place, the management style is atrocious, spending my time in the store I saw a lot of cob webs and hygeiene issues which the manager didn't seem to care about because all she was busy doing was shouting at employees and her husband. Furthermore she was so inconsiderate that i tried ordering and she ignored me and told her employee to attend me because she was so busy on her phone and not managing her business.

When i entered the store i ordered a Ice Cream which tasted like it was made with attention and care thanks to the employee who was very nice and altruistic. This made me want to tip her which i proceeded to do however the manager was so egocentric that she told the employee to go back to the kitchen and took the tip and put it in the till to fill her own pockets.

Business needs to be shut down asap! I recommend new mangement as the manager seems like she has no idea on how to run a business and shouldn't be running a business.

While eating my ice cream in the store i also witnessed the manager verbally attacking another customer forcing them to eat an order which they didn't order, she then continued this by slandering her employee for the mistake which was clearly made by her!

The lady tonight who greeted my party was incredibly rude women with perhaps an eastern European accent. I would have came back many times but service is a massive part of eating out for I personally. Your attitude will cost you custom it definitely did tonight. I advise never eating inside this restaurant they are rude and don't want your custom.

Given your yet again rude response. I'm guessing you're the owner. You are incredibly rude and dismissive and that is shown in your response. If someone booked a table for an occasion at your dessert parlour it would be good to notify the before hand you can't all sit together instead of just dropping it in our lap upon arrival. This shows your lack of care for the customer. Secondly you made no effort to seat us or communicate us after that. Given your response I assume it's your own terrible attitude to see your establishment downsize so drastically in recent months. If you keep acting this way I'll be amazed if your business is open in 12 months time. Several months ago, the first time I came here some chav girl behind the counter told me we couldn’t sit in despite it being an hour from closing time. She was really rude so I left.

Today I was greeted by a really lovely lady. The selection is amazing and everything looked like in the movies - think Willy Wonka! This is a cute venue, very nicely decorated.

The nice lady offered us samples. I ended up getting a scoop of chocolate orange ice cream and a cappuccino which came to £7. The coffee came with a little piece of shortbread which was cute. I think that’s really reasonably priced. The whole place is very reasonably priced considering the quality, so I don’t know why others are commenting about how expensive this place is. Clearly they’ve never been to a dessert parlour before because this is pretty standard pricing.

I ordered my partner a cake to take home and was very jealous when he ate it later on!

Only two area of suggested improvement. The font in the menu is a little hard to read. And the place was really cold today but I noticed they did turn the heating on when we came in which was appreciated.
