Fryer Tucks under new management — Restaurant in Great Britain

Went in yesterday just before tea time. Large cod + large chips and a regular cod + regular chips (+1 curry sauce) = £30 I couldn’t believe my eyes, worked it out off the hand written chalk board and surely enough it works out not a mistake on their part wouldn’t mind but the chips were very under done. Fair play, nothing wrong with the fish - but I can’t get my head round £30 for the above - steer well clear, it’s a liberty (Staff were smashing though, young lad and young girl - courteous...

Shop seemed really clean, tidy and well maintained and the prices were reasonable (especially for Ingleby), but the real.test of a chippy is the quality of the food and this food was bad. Chips were soft and lank and had hard crunchy bits of potato in some of them (bork), and the battered sausages had soft greasy batter that slid off with a wet plop. Gravy tasted okay, but was nothing special. Deffo won't be back unless I'm desperate and nowhere...

This is the most expensive chip shop I have ever visited for the most terrible food. I bought a bag of chips…they cost £3.90!! When I got back to work within 3 minutes or so, the chips were cold and they were barely chips..:it was a bag of scraps!! You know, thin crunchy chips. Steer clear, they will have your eyes out and they are lucky to get one star. There should be an option not to give any stars. Fryer Sucks should be the name!!!...
